Liffey Valley SC plan could create 700 jobs €25m planning application for centre’s expansion has been submitted
PAUL HOSFORD
NEARLY 700 jobs could be created if a new expansion of Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is given the go-ahead. The €25 million plan-
ning application has been submitted by the centre’s owners, Aviva Investors and Grosvenor and, if approved, work would take 27 months to complete. The project is expected to create 280 construction
employment opportunities during the development phase, and up to 390 permanent, part-time and full-time jobs upon completion of the project, bringing the total number employed within the cen-
tre to more than 2,500. Shelagh Larard, the associate director of Aviva Investors, said that the plan would be a boost to the local community. Full Story on Page 2
