A GROUP of Lucan residents have come together with a view to making Lucan one of the most attractive and vibrant villages in Ireland. The Lucan Village Network was established in late 2012 with a view to bring together local groups and stakeholders. The network is working on a number of initiatives, including developing a unique branding and market-
ing strategy for Lucan village; holding more events and festivals; highlighting and promoting the village’s rich heritage; and supporting the work of Lucan Tidy Towns in enhancing the visual attractiveness of the village. The work the group is undertaking could lead to a “measured improvement” in Lucan village, its chairman, Cllr William Lavelle (FG), said this week. Full Story on Page 4

es, and president Marion Walsh congratulated Moriarty on his award, with the owner of the Dublin-based Moriarty Group, including SuperValu Palmerstown, understandably proud of his roots in, and continuing links to, The Kingdom.
