A NUMBER of explosives were discovered this week at a location near the Malahide Road in north Dublin. The explosives were found by members of An Garda Siochana at an abandoned car park off the Malahide Road as part of investigations ongoing in the area. The explosives consisted of four viable improvised explosive devices which were made safe by the bomb

disposal unit. The devices were subsequently removed to a secure military location for further examination before the scene was declared safe. The remains of the devices will be handed over to gardai to assist as part of their investigations. The bomb disposal unit has made a number of IEDs safe at locations in Clare and Louth already this year. Full Story on Page 8
