Experts to help resolve pyrite issues Q MIMI MURRAY
AN independent working group that will facilitate hundreds of homeowners whose properties have been affected by pyrite in North Dublin, has been set up by the Minister for the Environment, Phil Hogan. The announcement was welcomed this week by Fine Gael Dublin North TD Alan Farrell, whose own home has
been affected by the problem. “Having experienced the issue with my own home, I have been through almost five years of strife and worry that came with the discovery of pyrite. I welcome the formation of an independent expert group that will have the interests of the homeowners in mind,” he said. Full Story on Page 4
