MILLIONS of euro taken in development levies in anticipation of the Metro North development has been called a “trick by the Government” by local Fianna Fail councillor, Eoghan O’Brien. A total of €13.6 million has been collected by Fingal County Council alone in Metro North development
levies, despite the fact that the proposed rail link, which was due to be constructed between St Stephen’s Green in the city centre and Swords, is yet to commence construction. “They think they’re being clever by not officially cancelling it. But, it will then allow them to say in 2015, that they will deliver Metro North if we reelect them,” he said. Full Story on Page 3
Personal accounts: Views on Medjugorje on the bookshelves local author Louise Hall is pictured with Senator Darragh O’Brien (FF) at Fingal County Hall for the launch of her book Medjugorje: What It Means To Me. The event proved to be a huge success for Louise with over 200 people in
