COUNCILLORS in Swords have claimed their town is “not being taken seriously” by the Public Realm Strategy which was introduced in Fingal recently. The strategy was launched by Fingal County Council last year, in an effort to develop plans to improve the future prospects of a
number of local towns, including Malahide. However, local councillors were outraged when they learned that Swords was not on the council’s priority list. “I can’t understand how management can sit in the town in the state that it’s in and not be obliged to do something.” said Cllr Anne Devitt.
