TRAFFIC JAM Heavy traffic but a good bus and skytrainsystem. Why does nearly every car have only one or two passengers? The same observation here in Canada like in Germany. A car driver, who has space in his car could pick up people, which have to walk or wait for the bus.

JOIN US AND SMILE A very lovely phrase which stands in one of the benches next to the English Bay Beach in the Westend. Only some words can be a big pleasure for a sad person. A person, which walk away and will be invited to be a bit more hopeful and happy.

Join us as we breathe, smile, and cherish every moment. Y Fai, M Eng, C Yiu, C Ying

SKYSCRAPER Amazing view and tausends of tons of material at a very small place. Interesting how much man-power and energy behind such big buildings. How much time it might be need to build up these such huge buildungs. How much time does it need until these are disposed. Are these buildings or Living-Machines?

TRASH BIN I saw this kind of trash bin the first time here in Vancouver. A kind of a bridge between rich and poor people. An awesome system and a little changingarea for bottle, cans, food and drinks. A little rick at the bin spend space for little treasures. And the devide between rich and poor is supported to shrink a little bit.

STRANGER ARE NOT STRANGE

Lets have a look in a coffee house at Davie at Denman Street. There are many people in the coffee house but the most of them are alone or engaged with their technical devices. The original definition of a coffee house is.

From a cultural standpoint, coffeehouses largely serve as centers of social interaction: the coffeehouse provides social members with a place to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups of two or three people. Why have we deviated from the orignal defition? How often do we have conversations with strangers. I‘m sure that personal conversations with both friends and with strangers are very helpful and important. Because of this reason I started a project in Critical Design and searched for a possibility to give the customer of a coffeehouse a chance to communicate whether they want a conversation or not. „talt to me“ or „don’t talk to me“

Hi cute plants If we give the plants and the nature time, it will conquerd back to plastered areas of the humans. The plants are so fine und small but have a huge power. Its awesome to observe some areas, corners and details, where to nature capture the place back and let plant growing up.

STREET DTES MAREKT It was a Sunday afternoon in East Hastings. The weekly DTES-Market give poorer people the change to sell some second hand stuff. The most of the stuff might me taken out of an trash bin. The do a very sustainable work and bring the product which are still good back in public and make the lifecycle of the product longer. A awesome concept. I bought already a lamb and a longboard from there.
