In his current capacity at Collegiate Consulting, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Capehart spearheads a newly established division that focuses on enhancing academic, administrative, and outreach operations at various institutions. His role involves integrating innovative educational programs, risk management studies, and diverse student support initiatives to bolster the firm's academic and administrative services. Capehart's tenure as president of Bluefield State University from 2019 to 2023 was marked by substantial improvements in fiscal management, enrollment growth, and community engagement. Under his leadership, the university reintroduced football after a hiatus of over 40 years and reopened on-campus housing for the first time in fifty years. Before his appointment at Bluefield State, Capehart was at the helm of West Liberty University for eight years, instrumental in achieving record enrollment and fundraising growth. His efforts led to the construction of a $22-million health sciences building, the first new academic structure since 1976, significantly increasing the university's budget. Besides his administrative and consulting work, Capehart has also made significant contributions to literature and film. He has authored two books and numerous screenplays and has produced several films. His dedication to the arts extends to his involvement in theater production and his contribution to a prominent national tax publication. Capehart has been recognized throughout his career with numerous awards, including being named among Who's Who in West Virginia Business in 2013 and receiving a Distinguished West Virginian award in 2000.
