ORCHARD RIDGE
Professional Experience: RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture Orchard Ridge is a master planned community in that lies at the edge of Austin and Leander. I was involved in the entry monumentation, streetscape, amenity center, and community garden designs. For the design concept the team took inspiration from the structure of nearby agricultural areas to inform the community layout and amenities. Throughout the project edible plants make up the majority of the plant material and plantings are arranged in rows and rectangles to mimic formal farm rows and grids as well as the informal patchwork of fields. In addition to the use of edible plants for the streetscape planting design, a community garden was also a large part of the community amenities. The community garden layout was structured in a formal grid playing off of the orientation of the community center architecture while being fit more organically into the topography. Custom planters were designed to provide elevated planting areas as well as benches and seating in the garden. A zig zag fence was also incorporated to reference the rustic fences of the hill country while still providing a contemporary and clean look for the gardens.

ORCHARD RIDGE AMENITY CENTER
Professional Experience: RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture The architecture for the Orchard Ridge Amenity Center tied into the agricultural theme by adopting a modern take on traditional farm architecture. The task of the landscape design then focussed on tieing into the agricultural structure of the entry drive planting while maintaining the more modern aesthetic of the architecture. To accomplish this, pecan trees were planted on along the main entry axis to the building providing the experience of walking through an orchard while mass plantings of native shrubs were used around the amenity center to give a more modern look. The playground was also designed to capture the experience of hanging out at a ranch while still being safe and modern looking. Custom play structures were mixed with off the shelf components to give a variety of play experiences and to reference the summer camp memories of the design staff’s youth. In addition the large slide tower, a custom climbing net, climbing boulders, and a custom balance board walk were included in the playground design.

WESTSIDE QUARRY PARK
Professional Experience: RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture RVi’s Atlanta office participated in a RFQ for the Westside Quarry Park along the Atlanta Beltline parks system. The proposed park would redevelop an abandoned quarry to incorporate an interpretive center, scenic overlook, solar farm, and numerous hike and bike trails. I was brought into the team to help with designing the scenic overlook and with conceptual graphics.

IRENE’S DIVE BAR AUSTIN
EDEN GARDEN DESIGN
Professional Experience: Eden Garden Design For Irene’s Dive Bar, in the west 6th street district in Austin, the client wanted an iconic dive bar in the style of Marfa Texas but which would commemorate the unique personality of the client’s grandmother Irene; a woman who was equally comfortable tending flowers as she was fixing cars. Eden Garden Design was tasked with developing exterior programming, circulation, and iconic material and planting design. As lead designer I was responsible for conceptual design, material choices, planting design, and presentation graphics for meetings with the owner, investors, and project Architects.
SKYBRIDGE LOFTS
Professional Experience - BWM Group In my professional experience at BWM group, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, and Landscape Architecture and have been involved in a variety of permitting processes including commercial Landscape Architectural permitting for Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, and Pflugerville as well as TCEQ WPAP and SWP3 permitting. I have also been in charge of producing the majority of visualizations to get Client, City Council, and HOA buy in on projects. At BWM group I additionally had the opportunity to take on the role of project manager and lead designer for a park project in the center of a condominium project called the SkyBridge Lofts in south Austin. Under the supervision of the Licensed LA, I worked with the client and Civil Engineer to resolve the complex grade constraints (the Civil grading for the site was already set for the FFE of the buildings and for the driveways around the park) and to provide ADA compliance throughout the park as well as to accommodate diverse programmatic requirements and to provide a variety of social spaces. Additionally, I was able to encourage the use of primarily native plantings throughout the project.

URBAN FARM
Professional Experience - BWM Group As part of the process of re-imagining the firm’s role in shaping the growth of Austin, Round Rock, and nearby communities, BWM Group began work on a conceptual high density urban farm development which would be shopped out to developers. I headed the development of the visualizations for the project and for the presentation boards. As this was a conceptual project and non-billable, the aim was to produce high quality and evocative imagery on a very tight schedule.

ROUND ROCK TRAILS PROJECTS
Professional Experience - BWM Group After being short listed for the City of Round Rock trails projects, BWM Group began work on the schematic concept for the three trails projects. I headed the development of the visualizations for the project and for the presentation boards. As this was a conceptual project and non-billable, the aim was to produce high quality and evocative imagery on a very tight schedule. I was tasked with developing the visual style, graphics, conducting site photography and assesmment, and presentations to the BWM project team in advance of the presentation to the City of Round Rock. In producing graphics for the presentation, I worked with one other designer (contributions noted on drawing titles). The project team was able to meet the deadlines despite limited time to complete the presentation package, and BWM group, teamed with Schrickel, Rollins and Associates, Inc. was awarded the Lake Creek Heritage trails project.
