Buyers know that it’s important to look at homes in order to explore neighborhoods, tour different floor plans, and check off which homes may or may not meet their needs.

• It’s imperative to make the most of this step by first securing proof of funds or preapproval so you can gain access to certain homes.

• Be punctual in consideration of the seller and agent. As a home buyer, you are absolutely the customer; however, there are many behind-the-scenes doings that go into scheduling showings—from homeowners packing up kids and pets to get out of the way, to listing agents arriving at the home to prepare for the showing. Be aware that your agent, more likely than not, has a schedule and it’s in everyone’s best interest to adhere to it.

• If viewing multiple homes, I recommend a tighter viewing schedule as I have found that most buyers are able to quickly assess if the home is an option or not. Revisits can be done at a later time of the top picks.

Sellers will find that every showing appointment counts. I understand that showing your home and dealing with the process of getting ready for showings is a headache, including that showing requests are not always at convenient times.

• As an agent who’s been doing this for over 13 years, I know that it is in the seller’s best interest to be as accommodating as possible. It’s simple to think that if a buyer really wants a home, they will accommodate a more convenient time for the seller—however, they don’t always come back. Not excluding the inconvenience, I say get those buyers in.

You will find it’s well worth it.

The cardboard boat regatta featured boats that took months to make, made by various companies from around the Las Vegas valley.

Death Valley Is Alive and Waiting to be Explored The draw of the Death Valley is everlasting.

By the 1920s, borax mining, originally starting in 1882 in Death Valley, had slowed and the area quickly transitioned from mining into a tourism wonderland, with tens of thousands of visitors each year. It became a national monument in 1933 and a national park in 1994.

If these walls could only speak: Some buildings at Death Valley junction, originally built in 1924 by the Pacific Coast Borax Company, were transformed in 1968 into the Amargosa Opera House. Marta Becket’s ballet pantomime performances are still hosted in the opera house from November through May. Each spring the desert floor is alive with multi-colored flowers including at Zabriskie Point, formed some 3 to 5 million years ago.
