Articulate the creative, professional and conceptual context of their practice in relation to contemporary industrial, aesthetic, social and cultural relevance. RATIONALE, STATEMENT OF INTENT, NEGOTIATED BRIEFS AND SUMMATIVE EVALUATION Appreciate the uncertainty, ambiguity and limitations of knowledge in Graphic Design/illustration through a flexible approach critical awareness, project management, self reflection and critical evaluation. PROJECT MANAGEMENT, PLANNING AND ONGOING EVALUATION Record, plan and explore techniques and processes that will inform the production of a self determined body of work in response to identified intentions, problems and briefs. CONCEPTUAL / CONTEXTUAL / THEORETICAL RESEARCH & CONTENT DEVELOPMENT Consolidate ongoing experimentation, methods of resolution and critical approaches to techniques, processes, materials and media in relation to studio practice through to final outcomes PRACTICAL INVESTIGATION, DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION Develop and realise a synthesis between concept and creative practice in an ongoing investigation of individual specialism(s) within Graphic Design/Illustration. SELECTION, RESOLUTION & PRESENTATION

DESIGN CONTEXT BLOG. – Containing research into & critical analysis of relevant contemporary design practices, related functions/audiences/contexts and appropriate production and distribution methods & trends. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT WORK – Design sheets, notebooks, test pieces and evidence of continuous visual, practical and material investigation, concept development and exploration of appropriate production/distribution methods FINAL RESOLUTIONS – demonstrating the ability to effectively select, produce and present design solutions appropriate to individual concerns and stated intentions PROJECT FILE - Demonstrating an organised approach to the planning, proposing, recording, documenting and evaluating the progress of a negotiated period of study SUMMATIVE EVALUATION (minimum 500 words) - Providing an informed reflection on the relative strengths an weaknesses of the work produced in relation to your stated intentions and creative ambitions

Excellent project management skills are allowing you to exploit the potential within your ideas. Your work demonstrates an excellent level of focus and clarity when it comes to identifying problems in response to clearly identified briefs. Excellent documentation skills have allowed you to identify, record and evaluate self-determined lines of enquiry. You are making informed and considered decisions when it comes to selecting appropriate media, process and techniques in response to the brief. There is an excellent level of visual exploration throughout your work and this has helped inform a consistently high level of practical development. Your critical awareness is excellent and has allowed you to make informed decisions about the effective solution to design problems. Your works demonstrates a high level of understanding of the impact of production methods on the development and delivery of a breadth of products and proposed outcomes.

The selection and presentation of your work is excellent. It demonstrates synthesis between the conceptual development of your ideas and the practical delivery of effective design solutions. You should continue to explore your own specialist practices through the continued investigation of briefs appropriate to your own creative intentions.
