ow, in it’s 42nd Edition, the Park Avenue Fest returns once again. Never in our 20+ years of running the event have we seen the Avenue so full of energy and sense of community. Once again, we’ll empty the street of traffic and fill it with people from not just OUR city, but visiting tourists as well. Visitors can continue to enjoy creative and innovative artwork, three stages of entertainment, and pretty much any kind of food they can dream of.

This event boasts activity and sights from our youngest to most veteran festival-goers. From the tree-shaded Kids Park at RMSC, to the pop-up dining areas spread throughout the mile and quarter avenue, the Park Ave Summer Art Fest just exudes vibrancy and excitement. Be sure to use your Festival Guide to lead you through every nook and cranny of the event, from artist descriptions and locations to the merchandise tent, and everything in between. See you on the Avenue!

STATEMENT FROM THE ARTIST: “My inspiration for the 2018 Park Ave Art Fest poster is the colorful spirit of summer. I imagined a summer day looking out from a café or porch on Park Ave to a lush and vibrant neighborhood. I achieved the deep color and textures using encaustic wax paints made right here in town by Enkaustikos at Rochester Art Supply. I also created encaustic monotypes on Japanese papers, then collaged them into the painting to add depth and interest to the composition.”
