For 2016, Full Moon Vista Bike & Sport will be producing the event on the evening of Saturday, August 13th! This event has been approved by USA Cycling as part of the the U.S. National Pro Road Tour – one of only 17 events in the United States at the (highest) National level. We expect over 25,000 spectators to attend the men’s and women’s professional races, bringing families to downtown Rochester and creating an incredibly festive and healthy atmosphere! Athletes from around the world will compete in this final race, at night, under the street lights of the beautiful City of Rochester.

CRITERIUM RACING EXPLAINED:

Criteriums are a uniquely American-style bike race. Courses are designed on city-center streets and staged on spectatorfriendly course loops typically about one mile in length. The racing provides incredible lapafter-lap excitement highlighting the athletes’ extraordinary bikehandling skills combined with explosive speed! In short, what NASCAR is to automobile racing, criteriums are to bike racing. Spectators can watch the fastpaced action for free at arm’s length from fields comprised of top domestic and international pros at multiple places around the course.

to walk the course in reverse direction of the bike race. By walking in reverse the racers are always coming at you, so you don’t miss any of the action. This way you get to see a new vantage point just about every two minutes, and if you find a special sectional you can stay there for a couple of laps before moving on to a new adventure! The finish area is hands down the most exciting place on the course! It’s where the races start, where all the primes happen, where the amazing professional announcers are, it’s the location that the music gets pumped out of and most importantly it’s where the finish sprint is for all the events. But come early, because space is always limited. rochestercrit.com • #rochestercrit · 5

You don’t even need to know a lot about bike racing, they’ll break it all down and get the whole crowd amped up!

The Force Behind the Rochester Twilight Criterium – Full Moon Vista Full Moon Vista Bike & Sport is the force behind the Rochester Twilight Criterium. Located in the Southwedge neighborhood of Rochester, Full Moon Vista is well-known for stellar customer service as well as repairs, sales, and professional fitting. The mastermind behind it all, Scott Page and his wife and business partner Kim, had a vision for a different kind of bike shop. They wanted to create a shop that welcomed cyclists of all types and experience levels, never intimidating and always educating customers on the amazing benefits of the bicycle. Over the years, they’ve brought together a staff that has become the foundation of Full Moon Vista. Each member of the

team does their best to welcome everyone who comes into the shop and share their passion and excitement for cycling. Scott Page’s vision always included a compliment to the shop; a production company that created

world-class events intended to excite the entire community about riding bikes. The Rochester Twilight Criterium is a point of pride for Full Moon Vista and the entire team is thrilled to be able to bring it to Rochester!
