DELUXE SUITE Our Deluxe Suites overlook the historic cobbled streets and the Town Hall. The suite opens onto a small reception area with a guest powder room and cloakroom. It leads towards a spacious sitting room with a lounge area and work desk.
Amigo is a curious name, given the hotel’s history. The city council bought the building in 1522 and turned it into a prison. The Spanish rulers mistook its Flemish name vrunt to mean vriend, or amigo. The locals seem to have enjoyed this irony, because the name stuck. The hotel was built on this site in 1957.
The bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, chest of drawers and armchair. A spacious dressing room leads to a large marble bathroom with a separate bath and shower.
Hotel Amigo is just around the corner from the Grand Place. It’s at the crossroads of the historic Ilot Sacré area and the antiques district of Le Sablon. It’s a mere credit card swipe from the fiercely modern Dansaert shopping district. Hotel Amigo sits where every aspect of Brussels’s culture meets.

HISTORICAL RENAISSANCE SUITE The Renaissance Suite was once a bank conference room; the two phone booths that stood outside the entrance have been converted into a walk-in wardrobe on one side, a bathroom on the other. The sitting room is furnished with a large writing desk and a dining table for four. Its walls and ceiling are completely covered by original oak panelling. A concealed wooden door in the bookcase once provided access to the administration department; a secret compartment is located next to the left-hand window and the lever that operates it can still be found in the window area.
A hotel in Berlin called Rome is unusual. Our building was once the historic headquarters of the Dresdner bank, and we took the name from a renowned nineteenth century hotel that was once located on the opposite side of Bebelplatz. The best place to take in the patchwork history of Berlin is from our rooftop terrace, with its views over the city. We’re next to the Opera House and a short walk from Museum Island. Berlin’s history even exists within the fabric of our building – the bank’s old jewel vault is now our 20-metre pool.
The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower, separate bath, separate lavatory, under-floor heating and an individually adjustable loudspeaker system.
You’ll come to Berlin for the vibrant arts scene. You may come for the notorious nightlife. You might be here for the monuments to history, such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, or the last remnants of the Berlin Wall. At Hotel de Rome, we put it all together in new and imaginative ways.

Villa Kennedy blends art and science rather well. Stellar figures of the European arts and science scenes – including Richard Strauss and Hugo Becker – were friends of the Speyer family, the original owners of the historic villa at the centre of this hotel.

These corner suites have a spacious living area, a guest powder room, a dressing area with generous wardrobe space and a circular bedroom area with a chaise longue and a king-sized bed. Bathrooms are finished in Bavarian limestone, with natural daylight and heated floors, a bath with a flat-screen television, separate shower and a water closet.
Designed to reflect the elegant and cosmopolitan Munich backdrop, The Charles Hotel is named after Sir Rocco Forte’s father, the renowned hotelier Lord Charles Forte. Munich’s motto was once “cosmopolitan city with a heart”. That heart beats strongest around the beer gardens, the vibrant bars, the buzzy cafés and the atmospheric restaurants that have always dotted this theatrical city. The stage set comes by way of the Gothic architecture and the Old Town.

The Charles Hotel is set against the calm backdrop of the Old Botanical Garden. Close to the Alte Pinakothek and the newly restored Lenbachaus, the hotel reflects Munich’s heritage. The works of 19th-century local artist Franz Von Lenbach hang on the walls of the hotel and the porcelain decorations in the bathrooms are from Bavaria’s oldest manufacturer. Against this stage of rich heritage we offer modern comforts too – our rooms are the most spacious in Munich and the indoor pool is the city’s longest.

EXECUTIVE SUITE Overlooking Piazza della Repubblica, or the historical centre of Florence, our Executive Suites are designed in a classic contemporary style. They have fine parquet flooring, a separate sitting room, an elegant bedroom with a king-sized bed, generous wardrobe space and a marble and mosaic bathroom. All have been recently refurbished and are decorated with Italian-made fabrics with Florentine patterns and carvings by local craftsmen.
Hotel Savoy is a monument to Florentine elegance. Built on the site of the Mercato Vecchio and the church of San Tommaso, the hotel dates back to 1893. Just like Florence, it’s moved subtly with the times, yet its foundations are embedded in Italian culture and Renaissance style.
Executive Suites can be combined with neighbouring Deluxe Rooms to form a two-bedroom suite; some also have a small balcony overlooking the Piazza.
Images of shoes decorate the walls of Hotel Savoy, a nod to the Florentine tradition of fine fashion and leather craftsmanship. The building seems hewn from the same materials as Florence itself – marble and mosaic, composure and grace.

A Roman hotel named after Russia? When it opened, between 1816 and 1819, the hotel was popular among Russian clients. They liked the mild Roman winters. The Romans called it L’Albergo di Russia. The name became Hotel de Russie when French took off among the aristocracy.

Between the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, Hotel de Russie is in an integral part of Rome. It lives up to its surroundings. The hotel has a softly lit secret garden where you can clink glasses with the cognoscenti. French poet Cocteau described the hotel as “paradise on Earth” when he stayed here in 1917. We’ve made it even better since then. The restaurant’s menu is designed by Fulvio Pierangelini, a celebrated maestro of Italian cuisine. The rooms are calm, the aperitivo welcoming and the designer shops of the Via Condotti just a short walk away.

GRAND SUITES Set in the corners of the hotel, our Grand Suites provide breathtaking views of Arthur’s Seat or Calton Hill. Each suite has a separate sitting area, many feature working fireplaces and four of these suites have turret-style alcoves. Each has a name synonymous with Scotland — Braemar, Stirling, Dunrobin, Tay and JK Rowling. The latter is where the author finished her final Harry Potter book and contains her writing desk with a marble bust of Hermes, the Greek god of travel, signed by Rowling herself. The door knocker is a brass owl in her honour.
The Balmoral is an iconic landmark property. The clock tower is set precisely three minutes fast, so that you don’t miss your train. In fact, the only day the clock is set correctly is Hogmanay. You’ll find The Balmoral at number 1 Princes Street, a landmark building in a historical setting. The hotel merges contemporary styling with elegant tradition like the colours of a fine tartan weave. As much a feature of Edinburgh as the Royal Mile, the hotel is an elegant stop-off between Waverley Station and the exclusive department stores around Princes Street.

Celebrated visitors have been plentiful since Brown’s Hotel, the first hotel in London, opened on Albemarle Street in 1837. It’s been at the centre of London – and London life – ever since.
Deluxe Suites can also connect with Executive and Classic Rooms to form four-bedroom suites with their own entrance area.
Teddy Roosevelt prepared for his wedding day here. Alexander Graham Bell made Britain’s first telephone call from our reception. Rudyard Kipling, Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill ate, slept and wrote here. But don’t worry – today we keep the names of our guests under lock and key. They come here for tradition mixed with modern flair. Just like London.

Our hotel sits on Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Street, known as Tahlia Street, in the heart of the Central Business and Shopping District, just 20 minutes’ drive from the airport. The hotel interiors come care of the celebrated designers Martin Brudnizki and Olga Polizzi. Inside, you can choose from two distinct concept restaurants, an Italian café, an extensive all-day-dining restaurant or our poolside lounge serving snacks. There’s the Assila Spa to unwind in, as well as remarkable conference facilities.
