It is important to determine the ideal mowing height of the lawn, as mowing too short can harm future growth. Always cut the lawn regularly and never lower than half of the grass height (at the time of mowing). If a regular weekly mow is missed the grass should be cut no lower than half of the total height, the next time the lawn is mown. A well maintained, thick, healthy lawn is more capable of withstanding stress. Proper care primarily includes regular mowing, a regulated water supply and adequate supply of nutrients.
