WHY DO WE NEED B3C? UNLEADED & ETHANOL BLENDED FUELS – • Since 1980 all four stroke engines have been designed to run with regular unleaded petrol. • Two stroke engines also recommend the use of unleaded petrol mixed with a good quality approved two stroke oil mixed at the ratio recommended by the manufacturer. • Unleaded petrol is notorious for going stale and manufacturers advise that storage of fuel should not exceed 30 days. Fuel that is stored should also be stored away from direct sunlight and in a container that is filled to the top. • Petrol pumps marked with numbers such as E90 means that the fuel you are purchasing is a mixture of ethanol and petrol when it comes out of the pump. This has been approved by the government in an attempt to reduce the usage of fossil fuels and reduce the carbon footprint. Ethanol is hydroscopic which means it naturally attracts water which is extremely harmful to engines.

MECHANIC IN A BOTTLE PETROL TEST SWABS Test Swabs test the quality of ethanol-blended fuel to determine if it is fresh, marginal, or stale. Mechanic In A Bottle Petrol Test Swabs is a diagnostic tool allowing you to test ethanol-blended fuel in all equipment with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines in order to determine if your fuel is fresh, marginal (decaying), or stale. These test swabs allow you to quickly and easily identify the sources of potential equipment problems before damage occurs; saving time and costs for equipment repair.

USING MECHANIC IN A BOTTLE PETROL TEST SWABS Step 1 If the tank is deep attach swab (using a rubber band) to an extendable probe such as a stick or long rod (not included). Step 2 Submerge swab into fuel tank for a few seconds. Step 3 Shake swab; let dry 2 - 3 minutes. This is a time sensitive test. Swab results should be viewed within 5 minutes after test. Swabs viewed outside of this window will present less accurate results. Step 4 Compare swab to colours on the fuel test chart.

MECHANIC IN A BOTTLE Synthetic fuel additive is the solution to fix poor or non-running 2 & 4 Stroke Engines due to fuel issues. Synthetic fuel additive works in power equipment with 2 & 4-stroke engines. It removes all varnish in the fuel system without having to remove the carburettor, removes carbon deposits and water, revitalizes rubber and plastic components, replaces lost Octane, and rejuvenates old fuel. USING MECHANIC IN BOTTLE Poor-Running Engine: • Pour 8ml (2 capfuls) of Mechanic In A Bottle (MIB) per 1 litre of fuel into your fuel tank. • Start engine and run for at least 15 minutes. • Starts working in as little as 15 Minutes! Performance improves over time. • Do not drain fuel tank. Non-Running Engines: • Drain fuel system completely. This must include draining the carburettor bowl on a 4 stroke engine and priming any old fuel through on 2 stroke engines to ensure the engine is completely empty of fuel. • Work the MIB into the carburettor using primer bulb or pulling starter cord repeatedly. Do not remove the spark plug. • For small power equipment (e.g. trimmers), add 60ml of MIB into empty fuel tank. • Larger equipment (e.g. lawn tractors): 120ml of MIB. • Starts working in as little as 15 Minutes! For best results, let engine stand for at least 4 hours before restarting. • Do not drain MIB from tank, add fresh fuel and follow equipment’s starting instructions. Automotive • Poor Running Engine: Pour 40ml of Mechanic In A Bottle (MIB) per 5 litres of fuel into your fuel tank. USING GAS TANK SHIELD Step 1 Open package. Once opened, do not expose Gas Tank Shield to air longer than 10 minutes. Remove cap and insert Gas Tank Shield into container and allow it to sink and contact bottom of the container. Check container cap for leaks.
