Landing Pages info@bostonlogic.com / www.bostonlogic.com

What’s a Landing Page? A landing page is a single web page that appears when a user clicks on a search result or an online ad. The goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into leads. Landing pages should always include a form the user can fill out. That makes them a lead.

Why is this important? For our brokerage site, the main goal of a landing page is to generate a lead. Landing page goals depend on campaign goals. For example, for a campaign to attract luxury homebuyers in the East Bay, a landing page might include a call-toaction button that displays luxury listings.

Here’s what a landing page for Boston Logic looks like. Notice the dynamic form on the right? When a user fills it out, they become a lead.

How to Create a Landing Page The Boston Logic Platform makes it easy to create landing pages. Just use the landing page builder. Log in to your account on our website. Go to the Dashboard. Hover over Content and select: Pages

On the Pages screen, you’ll notice two orange buttons: Create CMS Page and Create Landing Page. Select: Create Create Landing Page

On the screen that opens, you’ll see this.

First give your landing page a name. This name will be visible to back-end users only. Use a name that is clear and short.

Next add the path. The path determines the page’s url. Do not enter the full url here. Start with a forward slash, “/”, followed by text after it. Do not use spaces or special characters. Use lowercase words separated by hyphens.

Then add the page header. The page header will be visible to frontend users. Make your page header clear, brief, and engaging. Use complete words and avoid abbreviations.

You may add a background image to the landing page. Our recommendation, however, is to omit the background image for a cleaner look.

So far, so good. The next step is to choose the dynamic form that will appear on the landing page. OK, here’s the thing. There already may be dynamic forms in the back end of our site. Depending on the form, you might be able to use them “as is.” Like a Contact Us form, for example. To see if that’s the case, click on the upside-down triangle.

Clicking on the triangle will reveal a drop-down menu. If there IS a dynamic form you can use, just select it.

If the drop-down menu is empty, don’t worry! You can create your own dynamic form using another feature in the platform. We will cover how to do that later in this training module. Best practice Create your dynamic form first. Then create the landing page.

Adding Body Content Now scroll down so you can add body content. Enter your content into the text editor. Use the toolbar to format text.

Adding an Image To add an image to your landing page, select the image icon.

A new window will pop up. It looks like this. Click on: Browse Server

A new window will pop up. It looks like this. Click on: Upload. This will allow you to upload the image from your computer.

Select the image file you want to add. Then click: Open.

The image will automatically appear in a window like this. Click on the image once.

Next you will see a window like this. Select the OK button to add the image to your CMS page.

Your image will now appear in the body content of your landing page.

Add Metadata After you add the body content, don’t forget to add the metadata. Remember the Page Title and Meta Description will be visible to users when the landing page appears in Google search results.

Use a Page Title that is clear, informative, and engaging. Be sure to include our brokerage name. Example: Livermore Homes for Sale | J. Rockcliff Realtors Use a Meta Description that includes the name of our brokerage and a call to action. Example: Sign up to get our newsletter delivered straight to your inbox. Keep up with the latest listings in the East Bay with J. Rockcliff Realtors.

To publish your page, click "Create" in the top right corner. Need to make changes? You can always go back to Content→Pages to edit your landing page.
