All About SignUps info@bostonlogic.com / www.bostonlogic.com

What happens when visitors come to our website? They can click around and look at properties. They can can click on menu items in our main navigation menu. They can do a lot of things. But what we want them to do is sign up for an account. That makes them a lead.

Why is this important? Leads power our real estate business. When a visitor comes to our website and signs up for an account, they become a lead. That’s their first step in buying or selling a home with us.

How a Visitor Signs up for an Account There are several ways a visitor can create an account on our website. It’s important for you to know the different ways that can happen.

On the Home Page One way for visitors to create an account is right on our home page. They just have to click on the Sign Up button.

When a visitor clicks on a Sign Up button, a new screen will open like this. The visitor fills out the form. They can opt in or out of our email updates. Once they complete the form, they click the Sign Up button at the bottom.

Let’s take a deeper look at the Sign Up form. What happens when a visitor selects the Show More Options button?

When a visitor selects the Show More Options button, a new screen opens like this. The user can use the drop-down menus to indicate what they’re interested in—such as buying or selling. They can also tell us if they’re working with an agent and which one. Plus they can indicate factors such as their price range and when they want to move.

Why is this important? When visitors provide these details, we gain information that can help us turn a lead into a sale. We can also assign leads to agents. Agents can use lead details to interact with leads more efficiently.

On a Property Detail Page Visitors can also sign up for an account when they view a property. On a property detail page (PDP), a user would select: Save Property.

When a user selects Save Property, a new window will pop up like this. The user is prompted to create an account.

On a Search Results Page Another way a user can sign up for an account is when they search for properties from our home page. The user types in a location, like San Ramon, into the search box, and then clicks: Search

A new page will open like this. When a user selects Save Search, they can name the search and be prompted to sign up for an account.

When a user selects the Save Search button, a popup window will open like this. This is where the user names the search and selects how often to receive automatic updates with new search results.

Why is this important? You should encourage potential clients to sign up for an account. Here’s why. Users become leads when they sign up for an account. The Boston Logic Platform provides a range of ways for agents to interact with leads. That can’t happen if people don’t sign up for an account. Leads can receive our latest listings. As a real estate agent, you know how important it is for leads to receive listings from OUR website, rather than from a competitor. We can monitor lead activity and tailor marketing campaigns to their needs. The more

Sharing Web Pages from Broker to Agent info@bostonlogic.com / www.bostonlogic.com

Our Website Has Agent Sites Our brokerage site on the Boston Logic Platform comes with agent sites. The brokerage site functions as a parent site. The agent sites are like child sites. The platform makes it possible to share pages on the brokerage site with an agent site. If you’d like a detailed explanation of how this works, check out Sharing a Page to Child Site on the Boston Logic Training and Support Site.

Best Practice As a best practice, our site is configured to share several kinds of web pages between the brokerage parent site and the agent child site. For example, Area Profiles are shared so that they appear on agent sites.

Best Practice Static search pages are also shared to agent sites. Static search pages are search pages that we create for a specific city, town, or other geo location. Here’s an example of static search page for Alamo.

Best Practice Our site is also configured so that an agent’s profile appears on the brokerage site and the agent’s site.

How Users Can Search for Properties Here’s how how our site works when users search for properties from our home page.

First the user types in a location, like Danville, CA. Then the user selects the Search button. Why is this important? Keep an eye out for how many times a user can interact with our site and become a lead!

Search results like these will be displayed. Interaction Alert! Notice that the user can select Save Search, which we covered earlier in this module. That makes them a lead.

The user can then select a specific listing. Here’s an example of a listing, or PDP (property details page).

The PDP is quite long. A user can scroll down to see a property description. A user will also see this box on a property details page. Interaction Alert! A user can fill out this box to become a lead.

Each PDP displays the listing agent. Interaction Alert! A user can contact the listing agent directing from the PDP.

A prospective lead can also select the Contact an Agent button. Interaction Alert! That’s another way a lead can interact with our site.

Each PDP also includes a Market Report.

Users can see a full report by selecting: Click here to view the full Report

When a user selects that box, a new window opens that looks like this.

Interaction Alert! A user can select Subscribe to Market Reports. That makes them a lead.

As you become more familiar with our website, you’ll discover more ways a visitor can become a lead.
