Introduction In the last training module, we took a closer look at the Dashboard you see when you log in to the Boston Logic Platform. Here’s a link to that module in case you’d like to review [insert PDF link]. In this module, we’re moving to a very important step. You’ll learn how to add your leads and contacts to the platform. What you’ll learn: ● How to Add Leads to the Platform ● How to Add Contacts to the Platform

Why is this important? The Dashboard gives you powerful tools to track, manage, and engage your leads. But that can’t happen if your leads are not present in the platform.

Adding leads to the platform allows you to: ● Puts all of your leads in one place. ● Monitor lead activity. When leads search, save, and view properties, the system automatically tracks that activity. ● Use lead activity to follow up with leads to do what you do best: close a deal.

How to Upload Your Leads Step 1 Log in to our real estate website. From the Dashboard, go to: Leads. Hover over Leads and select: Import Leads.

You will see a page like this:

Let’s break down what you have to do next. Choose an import type. ● The drop-down menu will give you two options: CSV Import and Google Import. ● Most times you will be importing a CSV file from an existing database of leads. So you’ll choose: CSV Import.

Your next action will be to download the Boston Logic Platform’s CSV Import Template. Start by selecting: Download.

This action will automatically download a CSV file. Locate file on your computer and open it. The name is: lead_upload_template.csv

When you open the file, it looks like this:

You will populate this template with your leads. But there are some rules you must follow.

● Do not edit, delete, or rearrange the first row. The file is preformatted to be received by the platform. ● There are three required fields you must fill in. They are: ○ ✔ first_name ✔ last_name ✔ email ● There are some fields that require valid entries. For instance, if you have an entry for “phone_1” you need to indicate what type of phone it is: Home, Work Cell, Fax ● Be sure to save the file on your desktop or in a folder where you can easily find it.

Step 2 Upload the file you just saved. ● Select “Choose File” and select the file you just saved. ● Enter your email in the white box. When the import is complete, the platform will send you an email. It will give you a report that shows who was successfully added and who was not. For leads not added, the report will specify any upload errors. You will need to go back to your CSV file to correct any formatting errors. Then you’ll need to upload the file again. ● Then select: Import Leads

Congratulations! You’ve uploaded your leads! Select our logo in the upper left corner to navigate back to the Dashboard. You will then see your leads populated in the lead count wheel.
