Dear valued customers and partners,

The history of our company dates back to 1990 and began with production of outdoor equipment. After a long period of shortages, the Velvet Revolution offered new business opportunities and the first production of sport sit harnesses and slings fueled the enthusiasm of several climbers. From the beginning, there was a close relationship with the emerging business network of Hudy Sport, which, in 1994, led to the creation of our sister company, Hudy Production. The company specialized in climbing harnesses, and the ROCK EMPIRE® brand became synonymous with first-class climbing equipment. Development of the company was closely linked with Hudy Sport, and, after a few years, the company successfully secured the ROCK EMPIRE® brand for business activities in Czech Republic as well as abroad. Together, we supported a plethora of climbing talent, climbing expeditions as well as events for climbing enthusiasts and the general public. These contacts were always very important to us when deciding what direction the company should take. Unfortunately, every development has its limits, and, in 2007, it was decided to separate the interests of the export-oriented Hudy Production and the business network of Hudy Sport. In the summer of 2008, ROCK EMPIRE Inc. was created, and, since 2009, the company has the export rights to the ROCK EMPIRE® registered trademark. Currently, our products are sold worldwide in more than 30 countries. The design of our products is based on years of experience cooperating with our customers. For all the equipment we design and produce, we strive for maximum functionality, usability and comfort. Development of climbing equipment has always gone hand in hand with the general needs of movement at heights which translates into many other activities. One of the most important is undoubtedly safely working at heights, which is subject to strict standards and certifications. Our most well-known work harness, the full body harness Skill Uni, first produced in 2002, has been used by mine rescuers in Chile, Green Peace activists in New Zealand and rescue personnel in Czech Republic. This very lightweight clip allows for easy movement and handling of the straps. Thread the strap through the buckle as shown in the picture. Loosening the strap is easily done by turning the buckle. The buckle is designed for straps with a width of 45 mm and operates reliably in wet or freezing conditions.

Fast Release Buckles ROCK EMPIRE offers fast release buckles, which serve you well whether you need to put on the harness with one hand in the shortest time possible or remove it quickly. A feature of the full body harnesses, SKILL PROFI AL and SKILL PROFI FE, is the removable shoulder straps. The SKILL PROFI CHEST AL and the SKILL PROFI CHEST FE are fully removable, and the harness is then transformed into a climbing sit harness. The shoulder straps and the sit harness parts are now sold separately and can be purchased in the event of damage to one of the components.

This is the desired distance under the user, consisting of the length of the connecting slings plus the extended length of the fall absorber. Thus, this is the necessary amount of free space required under the worker, in the event that the fall arrest is deployed, so the worker will not be hurt. The total length of all the pieces must not exceed 2 m (pieces include anchor, connectors, slings, lanyards). The laws are designed to prevent wrong choices of the fastener lengths and consequent severe crashes. A two-meter fall is extremely dangerous and it is therefore appropriate to shorten the length of the fasteners as much as possible. Unfortunately, even a correct selection and deployment of slings and fall absorbers does not guarantee complete safety. The essence of clearance is the space between the anchor point and the ground or the nearest obstacle. In such calculations, it is necessary to take into account the following factors depending on the system used. A. Slings and fall absorber B. Mobile system for fall arrests C. Effect of inertia.

Safe distance from the ground after the fall is about 1 m.

As of December 31, 2011, full-body, chest, sit and adjustable harnesses from ROCK EMPIRE have a product life set at 10 years from the date of production. During the first 5 years from the date of first use, inspections should done at least once every 12 months. Product life can then be extended by an additional maximum of five years on the condition that the inspections shall be conducted at least once every six months. The above conditions apply to harnesses made after 1.1.2009. Harnesses made in 2008 and earlier have a product life of 5 years. Other personal protection equipment produced by ROCK EMPIRE from 1.1.2009 have a product life of 5 + 5 years (the same conditions as harnesses), ropes - 10 years, metal products are restricted by wear and tear. Wear of metal products can be of maximum of 1 mm. Product life of textiles produced starting on 1.1.2015 (harnesses and other textile products) has been adjusted to 10+5 years (5 years storage, 10 years from date of first use). Product life of ropes has been extended to 10+5 years (5 years of storage, 10 years after the date of first use).

If an inspector authorized by ROCK EMPIRE finds that the personal protection equipment is not eligible for further use, the inspector has the right to exclude from further use even though the product life has not yet expired.

Example: Harnesses made in 2015 can be properly stored for 5 years, and then should be put into use. If the harness is not damaged during use, the product life would be until 2030.

Âť ROOFS When moving on a roof, a worker is exposed to risks: slipping, falling over the edge or into open spaces. If there are not sufficiently strong securing points on the roof, securing points on the ground can be used. When the worker moves near the edge of the roof, the risk of falling increases and then it is necessary to incorporate a fall absorber.
