Birmingham’s leading party provocateurs, Ivory Wave, release a power rhythmed and instantly infectious classic: ‘Gold’ is pure attitude that grabs you instantly. The recording captures the essence of the band and the euphoria of their shows. It also heralds their biggest year to date. The band are newly announced as a BBC Introducing WM *Sound Of 2019*. Since mid 2016 George Johnson (Vocals), Connor McMinn (Guitar), Luke Morris (Bass), Rob Clarke (Synth/Keys) and Seb Baldwin (Drums) - have grown from a gang of five mates playing dingy pubs and clubs around The Midlands. By the end of 2018 they were local heroes selling out MOMENTS which erupt into a chaotic mix of sing-along frenzies and smoke bombs. Ivory Wave have also earned support slots with DMA’S, The Twang and Superfood (to name a few) and played festivals such as Isle of Wight, Truck and Shiine On. No label. No management. No agent. No worries. No limits. Their first release of 2019 is a statement of the self-belief they’ve never lost, driven by a grafting work ethic that will take them to the next level. “Gold is about realising your full potential, grabbing it with both hands and running with it.” (George Johnson) The soon army of Ivory Wave fans are already packing out venues up and down the U.K. (The home town headline on Thursday 17th January is down to a handful of tickets!)
