wildflower dreams
calhoun flower farms, las cruces, new mexico
Set amongst the colorful flower fields of Calhoun Flower Farms just south of Las Cruces, Drunk on Decor created this ethereal organic oasis in the desert. Playing off the corn yellow wildflowers and tall Queen Anne’s lace, neutrals flow through this bohemian wedding inspiration from the invitation suite by Letterpress Made to the couple’s attire. The dreamy setting in the Mesilla Valley is perfect for a laid-back wedding surrounded by your dearest family and friends.
The bride and groom look cool and casual in their attire. Tying into the flower theme, the bride’s gown features an oversized floral motif, which plays off the tiny flowers woven into the ends of her braids. Also keeping with the neutral palette, the groom donned a sand-colored suit paired with a tiny boutonnière.

Golden Hour
As the sun sets into the golden hour and casts a heavenly glow on the scene, transition the party to the reception. A rustic farm table is set with mismatched chairs and topped with black stone chargers, gold and black flatware, blue vintage goblets, pumpkin-colored taper candles and bunches of florals.
SWEET TOOTHS

Give your guests’ sweet tooths a treat with creamy paletas infused with fragrant dried flowers from the area. “Paletas,” not to be confused with popsicles, are confectioned using fresh ingredients ranging from puréed fruit to spices and nuts. Virtually endless in color and flavor options, paletas are the perfect addition to your New Mexico wedding.
Finish the night with a cake made with alternating layers of matcha and chocolate batter with local pecans mixed in and a matcha white chocolate ganache between the layers then frosted with a thick buttercream and decorated with wildflowers.
