long-standing tradition in this part of the Rocky Mountain range, located in what is now Colorado, is the annual rite of Spring - the Denver March Pow Wow. For many it is WKH ÀUVW IDPLO\ UHXQLRQ RI WKH \HDU DIWHU WKH ORQJ ZLQWHU D WLPH for gathering. Entire families travel here from literally every corner of the western hemisphere – TURTLE ISLAND. It is true that nowadays people stay in touch via social networking such as Face Book and My Space but Pow Wow presents an opportunity to see each other in person. The following synopsis tells the story of Rodriguez’ newfound fame and fortune: Searching for Sugar Man tells the incredible true story of Rodriguez, the greatest ‘70s rock icon who never was. Discovered in a Detroit bar in the late ‘60s by two celebrated producers struck by his soulful melodies and prophetic lyrics, they recorded an album which they believed would secure his reputation as the greatest recording artist of his generation. In fact, the album bombed and the singer disappeared into obscurity amid rumors of a gruesome on-stage suicide. hile out cruising the scene one day, during the summer of ’82 - I spotted this beautifully restored 1938 Chevrolet Sedan. Immediately I asked the owner to pull over. Dave Romero was out for a leisurely Sunday drive in his classic Chevy. We agreed upon a place and time and I photographed Dave’s ride next to the Cache la Poudre River near Fort Collins, Colorado. I have always photographed the beautiful splendor of the Colorado 5RFN\ 0RXQWDLQV DQG WKLV VHHPHG D ÀWWLQJ EDFNJURXQG WR HQKDQFH the beautiful work performed with the restoration of this classic automobile.

This group of young volunteers, from the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning, spent a March afternoon cleaning up a neighborhood in West Denver and was spotted by Rocky Mountain Cruzr. We felt what these youthful volunteers were doing was very commendable and are expressing our sincerest thanks for setting a positive example. The community clean up was part of an effort entitled Extreme Community Makeover ministered by the Set Free Church of Denver.
