Academic
Students develop a love for learning at Roedean and are encouraged to pursue intellectual challenge and their own interests. In Key Stage 4 at Roedean, girls take 9-10 GCSEs from a range of subjects that include a choice of five languages, Business, Computer Science, Art and Design, Dance, Design and Technology, and Sport Science, as well as the core subjects. Seminars and lectures are organised by the students, staff and visiting speakers to engage interests beyond the constraints of curriculum learning. Every girl in Years 7 to 10 can participate in the Academic Mentoring Programme, which involves researching a topic and developing presentation skills. Outstanding GCSE results are evidence of the resilience, curiosity and confidence fostered by Roedean’s approach to academics. Read more about the GCSE academic offering
