Halloween Maze – Monday 17 October, from 16:00
The Sixth Formers have set up a spooky maze for all year groups to come and enjoy.
The maze experience will begin in the Blyth with Halloween games. This will be followed by a guided tour through the Halloween Maze. Girls are welcome to dress up to mark the occasion!
Girls on Board Seminar by Andrew Hampton – 1 November
Roedean is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a seminar led by Andrew Hampton, the founder of Girls on Board on 1 November in the Theatre. Girls on Board is an approach which helps girls, their parents, and their teachers to understand the complexities and dynamics of girls’ friendships

Autumn Gala Concert: ‘The Natural World’ 18 November at 19:00 in the Chapel
The Box Office is open for you to book your tickets to the ‘The Natural World’ concert Roedean musicians present music inspired by the world around us, including Carnival of the Animals, Earth Wind and Fire, and much more.

Christmas Fair 3 December from 10:30 to 1:00
Please put this date in your diary it is a wonderful community event. All students will be in School, running stalls and raising money for a range of charities. Family and friends are very welcome, and it is a great opportunity to buy some stocking fillers.

Year 11 Sixth Form Experience Day – 18 October
We hope that girls in Year 11 have enjoyed the opportunities so far to find out more about life in the Sixth Form and the subjects on offer. Before half term, we have arranged for a Sixth Form Experience Day for Year 11 to spend the day sampling Sixth Form lessons and having the chance to do some revision ahead of the forthcoming assessments. We would like to wish all of Year 11 good luck with their preparation over half term.
Year 13 Early Applicants for University
Well done to all the early applicants for meeting the 15 October deadline, and good luck to everyone for the next steps, including university admissions assessments taking place during and after half term. Details of further interview preparation, including the interview exchange with Lancing College will follow after half term.
Year 13 UCAS
Work is ongoing with Year 13 UCAS applications to ensure these are ready to send during the second half of term. Students who wish to progress their applications straight after half term are advised to be proactive over the break in finalising their personal statements and to contact Dr Hannan.
Winter School Uniform
Please be aware that your daughter should now be wearing her winter school uniform after half term: she should be wearing her white (not blue) shirt and tie.
Next Academic Year Term Dates
Term dates are currently in the process of being finalised for 2023 24 and they will be published soon after half term.

A Message from Roedean Parents’ Guild
The half term break is the perfect time to have a clear out at home in search of some potential donations for the Christmas.
Here are some suggestions of ideal items to donate for the various stalls:
Tombola soft cuddly toys, games, DVDs (PG & 12), children's books, toys, accessories, fun stationery, craft sets, jewellery, friendship bracelets, anything the girls might find fun.
Sweet Tombola chocolate bars of any kind, Haribo, fun size multipacks, tins of Heroes, individual bars of chocolate or individually wrapped sweets. (No Nuts please).
Bottle Raffle any bottles, ideally alcoholic, but also including bottles of olive oil, ketchup, vinegar etc.
Charity Raffle Prizes cinema vouchers, gift tins of chocolate or shortbread, hampers, books signed by the author, gift boxes, spa vouchers, artwork.
Silent Auction Prizes interesting artwork, spa day vouchers, beach hut for the weekend, holiday accommodation, chef cooked meal at home, coffee tasting experience, bicycles. Please do contact us if you have any suggestions or can offer a prize.

Second hand Uniform any pre loved Roedean Uniform or Sports kit
After half term there will be specific Donation Boxes in each of the Houses ready to receive your donations. (Please note, alcohol must not be sent in with your daughter, or on the school buses, but can be dropped off by a parent to the staff in the House offices).
Christmas Messages: deadline 25th November 5pm
Every year the Christmas Fair Programme includes a messages section, just for fun. If you, or any relatives, or friends, would like to include a surprise message to your daughter, for a nominal donation, please follow these simple instructions:
1.Create: Write your Christmas message, state your daughter’s name (or a nickname she will recognise), then…
