Roger Tinsman

Born in Middletown New York, moved to CA in 2nd grade, lived in Azusa, Atascadero, Glendora, Elk Grove, and ended up in Sacramento. Graduated CSUS, where I was very active in Campus Crusade for Christ, after graduation I went to Capernwray Bible School's campus in Freidrichshaven, Germany,called Bodenseehof. Traveled on a Eurail pass for the rest of the year. I struggled reconciling being gay and Christian, Lived in Sacramento and San Francisco working in Retail Display - in SF was active in Metropolitain Community Church for 5 years. Jim Sizemore and I were together as partners for 7 years during that time. In 1990 Steven Hurley and I met. In 1994 I quit San Francisco and moved with him to Elk Grove, now I am an Interior Designer in my own small business and a member of Elk Grove United Methodest Church. Steven and I married on June 17, 2008 - the first day it became legal in CA. Still fighting for our equality after Prop.8.
