Rohit Tak

Rohit Tak is an urban designer with ten years of work experience in the field of urban design and planning. Currently, Rohit is a manager in the Sustainable Cities: Urban Transport Program at WRI India. At WRI, his work focuses on Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety in India, Thailand, and Vietnam to make the cities walkable, bike-able, and safer by design. Prior to joining WRI, Rohit has worked in the field of architecture and urban design in India and internationally on projects including the Sabarmati riverfront development and the Tender SURE street design project. His international work mainly focused on California and includes advocating community engagement in planning processes, transit-oriented developments, and complete street designs. Rohit holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Pune University and a master’s degree in urban design from the University of California at Berkeley, for which he received the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship.
