Congratulations to all our men for representing the club in
X Division Pennants on the long weekend in October. An outstanding result, with both teams finishing second in their groups. This was awesome considering 3 games were forfeited due to lack of players. Most players took several days (or even weeks ) to recover as playing 54 holes in two days really took a toll on their bodies. Visiting players from Mt Isa, Hughenden and Lavarack really enjoyed their weekend and nothing to say except positive vibes about our course and all it has to offer. Many have put their hands up for next year’s competition already. Golf is a hard game to play anytime but the challenge of only playing with 4 clubs in total on Saturday 16th Oct was something different and those who played really enjoyed themselves. Reg Geritz stole the show winning with 40 stableford points.
A big thankyou to our quiz Master Merle Dickenson for her
awesome hosting of Trivia night 16th October. Along with some caravanners, the locals who came along really enjoyed themselves and were definitely challenged by some very tough questions throughout the night . A total of 7 teams played with Rolly Robbers (our Rollingstone Teachers group ) being winners on the night with 84 points. Captain Mr Bruce and wife Sharon led the team with class. Our travellers were second with 77 points. It is great to see our local children are in very knowledgeable hands
