The American Bulldog: A loyal and loving family pet The American Bulldog is a very athletic breed of dog that makes for a great family pet. The males are slightly larger than the females. They grow to a height of between 22 and 27 inches and weight up to 125 pounds. The females can grow up to 25 inches and weigh up to 100 pounds. They have a short coat that is stiff and it can come in a variety of shades including white, red, and brindle.
