Easy Simple Diet | Cutting Calories | Cutting Carbs Cutting Calories An easy simple diet that works will, of course, be something that anyone can follow with foods that they can buy at any grocery store.  No pills, powders, or crazy grapefruit only diets work long term.  We need real foods for it to be easy and simple and we also need it to be something that we can stick with for a long time.  Short, crash diets don't work because the weight comes piling back on when we come off the diet. An easy diet needs to have days where we can "cheat".  Yep.  No diet is ever going to be perfect, if we screw up for a day it's ok, we don't just abandon ship, a cheat day even helps us burn more fat. The first step to a simple diet is to find out how many calories we're eating and drop that number anywhere from 300 to 500 calories.  So, if our daily calorie intake is 2000 calories we drop it to 1500 or 1800. Now for the most important part.  We need to move that number up and down on different days.  This is one of the keys to safe rapid fat loss. We're in essence tricking our bodies into dropping the weight by using an old fitness model trick. It works.  Fast. Cutting Carbs The Atkins Diet, if we stick to it for too long, it totally unhealthy.  But, that particular doctor was on to something and what he was correct about is that we have to control our carbohydrate intake. If we eat carbs at every meal all day long, including snacks, most of us are going to balloon up.  Why?  Our insulin levels are too high and when this happens our bodies pack on weight. The trick, again an old fitness model/bodybuilder technique, is to eat carbs only at certain times of the day, or only on certain days.  This will fool the body into burning off fat.  But, we've got to know what we're doing to pull this off.

With this dieting method we don't even need to exercise.  However, I do recommend that we all exercise for the general health benefits.
