When you are training a dog you may want one that can be trained easily, it will make your work much easier when you are house training it and teaching it not to be mean. Mixed breed dogs can often make exceptional pets that are extremely easy to train. When you hear people saying that you can't teach an old dog a new trick don't believe it. Adult dogs can be trained, so this saying is far from the truth. Quite a few adult dogs learn faster than most puppies. They have the ability to concentrate better on learning than puppies and they are more stable. Adult dogs almost always make great pets and can be very easy to train. This might be something to consider when looking for a dog. Try checking out an animal shelter. When you decide to look for a dog, find one that clicks with you. If you find one that you can bond with, it makes all the difference with your training.
