"You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationships, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle." - Steve Jobs The world mourned as Apple's main man died from pancreatic cancer. Much has been said about his achievements, the innovations he has introduced to the world, his strengths and his weaknesses. Steve Jobs has truly left a legacy that will continue unto the next generation. He was a great example of a man who followed his dreams and succeeded in doing so. In a speech he delivered to the Stanford University class of 2005, he encouraged everyone to follow their dreams and step out of their comfort zones and stated that all people are capable of making their dreams happen. According to Steve Jobs, we need to use time wisely. We can, in our own way, become successful whatever it is that we want to pursue. True, a big chunk of our daily lives is spent at work and if we can't find any reason to be happy with our job then there's no point in staying at it any longer. Finding our true love for our career is very important if we want to live a truly satisfying life. Work and life balance can only be achieved if we are happy with what we are doing and when we discover our purpose, our life direction. Time is short! We must live each day as if it's our last by daring to follow the desires of our hearts and living our own life. Steve Jobs was a person who was brave enough to follow the road less traveled. He was an innovator, a person who "thinks out of the box." He started Apple in a garage and worked hard to make his business a billion dollar company with more than 4,000 employees around the world. He created Macintosh, one of the most unique technological concepts ever created. He went on to introduce unique products like the MacBook, iPod, iPad, and iPhone. He dared to venture into cinema animation and created Pixar which brought Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and a lot more animated movies to life. All his successes can be attributed to one thing - he followed his heart, he followed his calling. Every person has a dream of his own. We create our own destiny and we are responsible for our success or failure. Dare to follow your dream and achieve a meaningful life. Just as Steve Jobs did, understand your life direction. Only then can you truly be successful in whatever you want to achieve both in your personal and career life.
