CRACKED
CRACKED Description_ “Cracked” was one of my final projects I did in Volume. I chose to go with this concept because I thought it could be interesting developing a skirt, where combinning the elements that resembled “cracked” with my all-time favourite fashion era, the groovy 60’s! My final piece, as we can see on the left, resembles very similar to Courreges, as I absolutely adore his style and apporach to fashion.
COCOON
COCOON Description_ In this project I have designed a backpack, which is “robber proof. In other words, protecting your valubles from potencial pick pocketers in your everyday commute. The concept behind it is based on the idea of a a cocoon, somewhere safe and protected, exactly what a caterpillar and other insects use it for. It has a secret compartment where you can hide important items, like a passport, phone and wallet but is camoflaged to the public, only you know where it is.
GRIDS
GRIDS Description_ I named my final project in Global Design “Grids”, as I was initially inspired by arquitecture and its framework. This led to focusing on bulky, over-sized and flat clothing. I wanted to create a collection that aimed to use the garments as a “facade” to project different patterns and designs on rather than using the material itself.
COPPER & WOOD
Description_ The concept behind copper & wood was to create a piece of furniture that could be taken apart easily in order to transport and adapt for its need. I chose to use two main materials, cooper and wood, as they are both very resistant and seemed appropriate for a coat hanger. The combination of simplicty and funcionality is the best way to sum this project up,no need for more, no need for less.
COPPER & WOOD
TULLE Description_ The objective behind this project was to create the first letter of out name by using only two materials and as I am interested in the fashion world I chose to use tulle . I discovered that it was possible to build into the desired shape by using a heat gun. The overall effect deforms the fabric into a new material that stands by itself and represents something both rigid and flexible as a whole.
