Es un placer para nosotros, darles la bienvenida al Showcase de este año. Este programa representa una variada combinación de esfuerzo creativo con producciones de gran variedad en géneros y estilos procedentes del genio y el talento de todos los participantes, en sus diferentes especialidades. Aprovecho para dar una caluroso saludo a los invitados, clientes y amigos, venidos de tantos lugares distintos, dispuestos a encontrar el producto talentoso que más tarde servirá para la siempre ansiada renovación del espectáculo. Una mención especial a los clientes fieles que con su asistencia año tras año nos honran con su estimada presencia. Por último, felicidades a todos los Artistas, Producción y un largo etcétera de personas que han hecho del Showcase el evento más importante del año para Romantic. Esperamos cautivarles en cada una de las producciones seleccionadas para esta 16ª celebración.

It is our pleasure to welcome you to this year’s Showcase. This programme contains a combination of diverse creative energies with productions in many different genres and styles drawn from the talent and intelligence of all participants, each in their own speciality. I would like to take this opportunity to give a warm welcome to our guests, customers and friends from so many different places, meeting here to find the talented product that you can use for the desired update of your own shows. I’d like to make a special mention to our loyal customers whose presence and support, year after year, is a great honour for us. Todozancos es una compañía formada en Barcelona en el 2006, a partir de las inquietudes artísticas de sus creadores, especializados en la disciplina de zancos. Sus integrantes provienen de diferentes países, así como su formación profesional y experiencia artística. En su propuestas se fusionan las técnicas de teatro-circo, la improvisación del teatro de calle y la manipulación de objetos, apostando por la gestualidad como idioma universal. Sus espectáculos funden creativamente historias y personajes que invitan al entretenimiento, reflexión e interacción de los espectadores.

¡Desde que consiguió un papel principal en una producción escolar de Oklahoma! Paul sabía que nació para estar en el escenario. Desde los 15 años a este momento, Paul ha protagonizado muchos musicales como Guys and Dolls, Grease y Saturday Night Fever. En 2003 comenzó a trabajar para la empresa hotelera Viva Hotels, donde presenció por primera vez la calidad de Romantic Corp. El Sr. Keenan se unió a Romantic en 2007 para realizar musicales como We Will Rock You y Mamma Mia. A continuación, pasó a tener 6 años muy exitosos con Xerox Cabaret Productions, con “Want U Back”, un tributo a Take That, que ganó “Best UK Tribute” en 2012. Como era entusiasta guitarrista y fanático de la música rock, era natural que Paul montara su propia banda. Así que en 2016 se formó Double Vision y durante los últimos 3 años ha estado de gira con ellos en un estimulante tributo a la música de Queen.

Being a keen guitarist and rock music fan it was natural that Paul set up his own band. In 2016 Double Vision was formed and for the last 3 years has been touring with them in a fast paced tribute to the music of Queen.

Empezó a tocar el bajo a la edad de 9 años, con una pequeña banda local, a los 14 años formó una banda con mi hermano y hermana y algunos amigos. Firmó su primer gran contrato en la escuela secundaria con TK - Records (Group Florida Players). Desde entonces ha estado cantando y actuando como bajista, en muchos clubes de West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale y Miami. Programas de televisión y conciertos con artistas tales como Patti Labelle, James Ingram, Stevie B, Roxette, MC Hammer, Vanessa Williams, Milli Vanilli, Kool and the Gang, Gerald Albright, Pat Sajak Show, Soul Train, Byron Allen Show, Chenoa, etc. Más tarde lleguó a Mallorca donde actuó en SON AMAR como cantante del grupo “The Drifters” y durante los últimos 6 años trabaja en hoteles para Romantic como solista.

Iniciaron su carrera, como Eliza Duo, en escenarios de cruceros y eventos varios en Hungría. Su repertorio es fresco y emocionante, abarcando desde canciones de los años 50s, hasta canciones modernas de éxito. Para los amantes de la lírica y buen paladar prepárense a disfrutar de una noche de sensaciones divinas. Ale Martín inició su carrera artística a los 16 años en Argentina. Oriundo de Córdoba, en sus comienzos se inclinó hacia la música folklórica argentina, género que conoció y perfeccionó. Con el paso de los años Ale fue dando rienda suelta a su pasión por la música clásica y que lo llevó a marcarse nuevos horizontes. Así, y siguiendo la ruta opuesta que llevaron a sus antepasados desde Europa a América, decidió instalarse en las Islas Canarias, desde donde comenzó su conquista del Viejo Continente a fuerza de memorables shows por distintos países. Más que hablar de él, es necesario verlo, vivir las sensaciones que transmite, la energía que contagia, la magia de su voz.

Ale Martín started his artistic career at 16 years old in Argentina. Originally from Córdoba, in the beginning he leaned towards Argentine folk music, a genre he domined perfectly. Over the years Ale was given more chances to go ahead with his passion for classical music and that led him to mark new horizons. Thus, and following the opposite route that took his ancestors from Europe to America, decided to settle in the Canary Islands, from where he began his conquest of the Old Continent by memorable shows by different countries. More than talking about him, it is necessary to watch his performance, to live the sensations and energy he transmits, and also the magic of his voice.

MAYA ‘N’ PETI

Este dúo es presentado oficialmente por primera vez en el “The Dal 2016”, (pruebas de preselección para Eurovisión en Hungría), donde además componen, editan y publican su primera canción “I’m You”. Su repertorio abarca una amplia amalgama de estilos. En sus actuaciones podrás escuchar desde la música húngara hasta la inglesa, desde los grandes clásicos universales hasta los últimos hits. La especialidad del dúo estriba en la combinación de sus dos voces, beatbox y a veces ritmos (shaker, rattle), dándole un toque genuino y colorido a cada una de sus actuaciones.

-------------------------------The acoustic duo Maya’n’Peti formed in the second half of 2016 out of the joy of a couple in love. Peter Szikszai, whom audiences may remember from the band Bytheway and second X Factor Hungary finalist in 2013, and Maya, who began her career as a singer with the Soul and Latin band Volvox. This duo officially played together for the first time at “The Dal 2016” (Eurovision preselection tests in Hungary), where they also composed and published their first song “I’m You”. The Smooth and Seductive Sounds of the Vibraphone Filemón Monterola, músico profesional desde 1979, estudió percusión, armonía tradicional y moderna, arreglos, en diversas escuelas de música y conservatorios. Como Batería acompañó a figuras internacionales de Jazz, Chano Domínguez (pianista flamenco), Eddie Bert (trombonista de Duke Ellington), Tomás Chapin (director de la Orquesta de Lionel Hampton), Ted Curson (trompetista), entre otros. Como vibrafonista ha participado en diferentes proyectos entre los más recientes destacan las grabaciones de Juan Pablo Barrios “Descargando”, Douglas Douglas, “Saxual”, Delia “Cosas del Alma”. Desde 2008 hasta 2015 fue el batería de la banda que amenizaba el bar del hotel J.W. Marriott en Caracas. Es desde 2016 cuando empieza a trabajar como vibrafonista con backing track –músico solista–, formula con la que trabaja amenizando restaurantes, salas y piscinas.

El artista ha aparecido en numerosas producciones de Romantic Corp. a lo largo de los años. – En el violín tenemos a Vania Balabanova, una violinista búlgara extremadamente exitosa que ha compartido el escenario con muchos artistas de renombre mundial como Deep Purple, Super Tramp, Nightwish y Catatonia, a la vez que también ha tocado versiones más clásicas con la Ópera Estatal y la Filarmónica de Plovdiv. La sorprendente destreza y el dominio de su instrumento la han llevado a más lugares de los que puede recordar. – En el chello tenemos a Tatiana Nedkova, una joven artista con una lista extremadamente larga de premios y reconocimientos que abarcan 8 años desde el Premio a la Excelencia, hasta el 2009 con el 1er premio con la Orquesta Filarmónica Juvenil de Burgas en el festival internacional “Hopes, Talents, Masters” en Dobrich. Concepto, producto, simplicidad, elegancia Cocinero curioso e inquieto, trabajó en distintos restaurantes de alta cocina en Alemania hasta aterrizar en Mallorca en 1986 donde inició su trayectoria al mando de los fogones del restaurante Tristán en Puerto Portals (Mallorca). En la actualidad regenta el Schwaiger Xino’s. Gerhard ha conservado las dos Estrellas Michelin durante 19 años. Schwaiger Xino’s ofrece una carta muy personal, con reinterpretaciones del Chef Schwaiger y nuevas propuestas con esencia mediterránea. Utiliza productos de la isla, interviniendo sobre ellos lo mínimo posible para respetar su esencia, al estilo Nouvelle Cuisine. Concept, product, simplicity, elegance An enquiring and restless cook, he worked in different haute-cuisine restaurants in Germany before coming to Mallorca in 1986, when he took over the kitchens at the restaurant Tristán in Puerto Portals. Schwaiger Xino’s has a very personal menu, with reinterpretations by Chef Schwaiger and new ideas with the essence of the Mediterranean. A fresh approach that always looks for the best local produce to make dishes that combine innovation with tradition.
