Ron Book has a long and illustrious career in Florida state government, where he has worked as an advisor and lobbyist for various organizations. His unique approach to lobbying and extensive knowledge of the inner workings of state government have made him one of the most successful lobbyists in the state. He is also highly active in the local community, working with numerous charities and civic organizations. He got his rule degree (J.D.) at Tulane School and his drawn-out license in modern sciences (B.A) certificate in Political Theory at Florida Overall School. Before finishing his certification at FIU, Book went to the School of Florida, where he ran track for the Florida Gators (1971-1973). Mr. Book is an enlisted lobbyist, an individual from the FAPL (Florida Relationship of Expert Lobbyists), and an individual from the Florida Bar. His expertise spans numerous areas, notably in economic development, environmental issues, affordable housing, transportation, and healthcare, to name a few. This breadth of knowledge has shaped public policy over the last four decades. His impact is particularly evident in local government representations, where his innovative approach has significantly broadened his firm's influence. Starting his career in the 1970s with the Florida State Legislature, he quickly gained experience, later serving as Special Counsel and head of Legislative Affairs for Governor Bob Graham. His tenure at the Miami-based firm of Sparber, Shevin, Shapo, Heilbronner & Book, P.A., further solidified his position in Florida's political arena. Ron has been deeply involved in several statewide political campaigns throughout his career. He contributed to critical initiatives like the "Five for Florida's Future" campaign and crucial referendums that shaped the state's legislative landscape. His work in these campaigns highlights his political acumen and his ability to influence significant statewide changes.
