From The Editor in Chief The lesson I have thoroughly learnt, and wish to pass on to others, is to know the enduring happiness that the love of a garden gives. Taking more time to get outside and be a part of nature sounds like an easy task to try to make happen. However, I have come to realize that just as we must make an effort to go to the gym, finding time and energy to get outside and remain active is becoming harder to achieve. I love to garden; well, I should say I used to love it. I took such pride in finding the perfect spots for some of my favorite plants that I have come to cherish after years of trial and error. Nowadays, as my schedule seems to be filled more and more, I find myself not taking the time to escape outside for such simple pleasures as gardening and relaxation. The “Outdoor Living” issue serves as a collective gathering of inspiration to get us all thinking about heading outdoors and making our lives a little “greener.” I love the fact that I can look at these features and almost feel the warmth and inhale the fragrance from the day we were on location to photograph it. I recall, in particular, our day with designer Kim Brockinton as being almost magical to me. It was in a place that felt so far away from ordinary life. The aroma of the roses climbing the side of the structures, the glistening of the dew on the lush lawn, and the soft sound of pea gravel crunching beneath our feet as we toured through the vegetable garden, all seemed to be purposely placed to fill our day with an enchantment that felt as though I had been transported to a remote Tuscan villa. It is not often that an environment can touch so many senses and carry you into another place and time. The thoughtfully designed home and garden did just that. It really was a place that I will never forget, and I know you will enjoy this feature as much as I enjoyed discovering its charm. Similarly, the evening spent with Penny Beebe was magical in its own sense. It was her “christening,” so to speak, of this newly redesigned outdoor living space. Penny along with the talents of Mona Thompson and Talena Ray of Providence Design as well as the experts from The Good Earth Garden Center brought new life into a space already loved but in need of a well-deserved facelift. Finally, last but not least, a sleek outdoor living area for a contemporary jewel of a home located in the Lakewood area of North Little Rock was carefully planned out with the guidance of gardening and lifestyle guru Chris H. Olsen and polished to perfection with furnishings from Urban Pad’s John Gibson. This magnificent pool and outdoor area has been the envy of many neighbors, who admire it from the water. We are thrilled Chris and the gracious homeowners invited us to share this unique family resort-like retreat with you. As we look forward to spring, it is my hope that you will find some new ideas for your outdoor living space tucked within the pages of this issue. Remember, it is not about how much space you have; it’s what you do with your space that counts. Make it special and make it your own.

Life/Local Talent
Meet...TOMMY FARRELL HOW DID YOU FIRST GET YOUR START IN FURNITURE MAKING? I got my start in Brooklyn, New York, where I grew up. My mother trained me to use tools so I could help to fix up our brownstone. After college, I opened a cabinetry-making business in Red Hook, one block from the Brooklyn Waterfront. I guess you could say this type of manual dexterity has always been within me.
WITH A LIST OF STAR CLIENTS, INCLUDING EVERYONE FROM BARBARA WALTERS TO ARKANSAS’S OWN ASA HUTCHINSON, THE OWNER OF NORTH LITTLE ROCK’S TOMMY FARRELL CUSTOM FURNITURE IS A TRUE WOODWORKER AND CRAFTSMAN, CREATING TABLES, HEADBOARDS, BOOKCASES, CABINETRY, AND MORE PHOTOGRAPHY: MATTHEW MARTIN
HOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR WAY FROM NEW YORK TO ARKANSAS? In the 1980s I met a woman from Arkansas. We moved back to her home state, and I reopened my business here. It gave me an opportunity to focus on quality pieces that I really love—like our tables. They are really my specialty, and one of the things I enjoy most. TELL US ABOUT THE TYPE OF MATERIALS YOU USE AND YOUR STYLE. Well, the majority of the designs are contemporary or transitional. I work with a lot of veneers, and I love to recycle both domestic and exotic wood. A couple of my favorites are Santos rosewood and East Indian rosewood. I also love beautifully deformed pieces of domestic wood that have tons of knots and lots of character. Many of our designs also feature inlays. For example, we just did a fabulous table with a stainless steel inlay. ARE ALL OF YOUR PIECES CUSTOM MADE, OR DO YOU HAVE ITEMS IN STOCK? I do have a few items in stock; but, the majority of my pieces are custommade. I typically work with a client by asking him or her to send me images of pieces they like, and then I draw designs based on that until we get the look they want. It usually takes four to six weeks for production, and the pieces we make are available in a range of prices.
Farrell sits atop one of his handcrafted Santos rosewood tables in his Little Rock home. 22 At Home in Arkansas | March 2016

Many Arkansans have fond memories of nights and weekends spent at Searcy’s beloved movie house, the Rialto Theater. Located on Race Avenue along the edge of the town square, it has been a landmark for years. According to Main Street Searcy Executive Director Amy Burton, the building was originally built in the 1920s but received its famous art-decostyle façade during a renovation in the 1940s. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is still in operation today. However, it is in need of repairs to be restored to its former glory. Currently, a project is underway to fund and complete a full restoration in two phases, the first of which will be exterior repairs including updates to the neon lights, marquee, and the structure itself. This portion of the project is scheduled to begin this spring. The second phase, which will be planned at a later date, will focus on interior updates. “We want to maintain the structure as it is,” Burton says. “It’s important to preserve it because it’s such a big part of our history in Searcy.” Burton notes that the majority of funds have been raised for this initial phase, but they are still in
need of donations to cover any unforeseen overages and to start the fundraising for phase two. The Rialto renovation is one of three downtown beautification projects, which also include a Christmas light display and updated streetscape, currently in the works through a partnership between the Searcy Regional Economic Development Corporation and the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce.

BLOGGER, ONLINE SHOP OWNER, AND HOMESTEAD MAVEN NATALIE FREEMAN INVITES US INTO HER HOME FOR A SEASONALLY INSPIRED GATHERING WITH FRIENDS

“IT WAS NOT IN OUR BLOOD TO DO THIS,” LAUGHS NATALIE FREEMAN WHEN ASKED ABOUT HER LIFE ON A SMALL HOBBY FARM IN FAYETTEVILLE. Neither she nor her husband Luke planned to be raising organic fruits and vegetables and tending to a flock of egg-laying hens. Rather, the life seemed to pick them. After falling hard for gardening and a more simplistic lifestyle in college, the couple eventually purchased a farm, which they now lovingly refer to as Freckled Hen Farm. Here, with approximately 1,000 square feet of garden space and a flock of 60 hens, they run a subscriptionbased produce and egg business— the goings-on of which Natalie shares on her widely read blog, Natalie Creates. The charming scenes of serene farm life, salvaged or reinvented home décor, and the passion the two share for this way of life have all culminated in a following, which led Natalie to open an Etsy store where she sells planting calendars, reversible headbands (which she says are perfect for those times when you are working in the garden and need to pull your hair back), and miniature flags, known as Happy Flags, for bouquets or party décor. The business has been such a success that she left a full-time position in mid 2014 to tend her blog, shop, and—of course—the farm. “I think a lot of people aspire to live this cute farmhouse dream, but they think they have to have a million dollars to do it, and we are a testament that you don’t,” she says of their endeavors. “We live a simple life, but we’re having a rich experience.” As the young couple continues to follow their passion, they have plans for expansion in the works. Beginning in March, Natalie’s current Etsy store will close and the products will fold into a new online marketplace, Freckled Hen Farmhouse (read more about this on page 32). They have also rented a studio space in downtown Fayetteville where they will fill orders and hold monthly pop-up shop events that will be open to the public. Natalie says the new shop will be “reminiscent of the past and the way our grandparents did things.” Much like the 30 At Home in Arkansas | March 2016
rest of their lives, it will revolve around the simple pleasures of the farm, gardening, and gathering with loved ones. She gave us a glimpse inside one such gathering that included a small group of close friends who were coming together to celebrate the start of planting season. On this day, Natalie served a fresh salad of mixed greens with strawberries, red onion, and honey-roasted sunflower seeds on blue-and-white plates from local retailer Euna Mae’s. The salad was topped with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette (see recipe at right). After lunch, she shared an assortment of seeds, which were then put together in a seed starter kit as a party favor for her guests. Her hope is that the kit will allow them to enjoy a similar salad harvested from their own gardens.

After working in a bakery during college and spending last summer touring Europe with Natalie, Luke developed a passion for bread making. For this lunch, he prepared an artisanal herb bread that complements the salad’s balsamic vinaigrette.

Life/Garden EXTERIOR DESIGNER DANIEL KEELEY TRANSFORMED A FORMER BACKYARD WORKSHOP INTO A CABANA THAT CAN BE USED YEAR-ROUND Long before moving into his Fayetteville home, Daniel Keeley had alternate plans for a small workshop area in the backyard. Desiring a space that could be used in all four seasons, he turned the room into a small but fully functional cabana area. Perfect for relaxing on an early spring day, the cabana room has French doors that open to the home’s garden along with a built-in daybed that offers storage drawers underneath the base. Durable, outdoor fabrics on the pillows and daybed cushions stand up to everyday wear-and-tear as well as nature’s elements. Additionally, a heater and fan ensure seasonal comfort, while a small refrigerator keeps drinks close at hand. Slender beaker vases filled with gerbera daisies line the wall as an official welcome to the season.

nspired by the elegance of centuries-old Tuscan villas with their diverse expansions and enhancements made across successive generations, the owners of this property, whose main house was featured previously in At Home, decided to build a guesthouse, an expansive garden—which keeps their kitchen stocked with fresh produce—and a whimsical coop to house hens. Working with interior designer, Kim Brockinton, and landscape designer Stacey Stafford, they created an addition to their estate that relates as elegantly to the existing structures as it does to the surrounding countryside. THE GUESTHOUSE Rather than replicating the design of the main house and using the same construction materials, Brockinton maintained an authentic Renaissance style that is somewhat consistent with the property’s other buildings, but has a uniqueness all its own. “The old European estates typically had multiple structures and were often done over a period of many years,” Brockinton notes. “In fact,” she continues, “the main houses were often added to multiple times as the family expanded. So the same materials were not necessarily available, and that resulted in a mixture of different colors, stones, roofs, and sometimes styles. We March 2016 | athomearkansas.com 37

An antique French birdcage poses a delicate silhouette against the porch’s rugged beams. wanted to convey that with the guest villa, but not in an extreme way. I think we accomplished that.” The stone exterior of the guesthouse contrasts with the stucco of the primary residence, for instance, and the roof is reclaimed Italian tile, rather than the dappled slate used on the main house. “We used flagstone outside to maintain some level of continuity,” Brockinton adds, referring to the spacious stone patio that surrounds the building. A structural arch motif frames the exterior from all angles, similar to the existing buildings, but a hip roof on the guesthouse adds distinctive height and drama. In addition to providing private, luxurious accommodations for visitors, the guesthouse also functions as an off-site location for business meetings—with the dining table serving as a conference table—as well as an alternate space for entertaining friends and family, whether the occasion is an intimate dinner on the porch, or a larger gathering indoors. The unique pieces the designer assembled to furnish the dining porch, including the rough-hewn chairs and antique French birdcage, create an atmosphere for these diverse uses that is at once refined and rustic. THE GARDEN In close proximity to the guesthouse sits the property’s spacious and prolific garden, which includes 15 beds. The garden was revamped several years back to make it even more practical for fruit and vegetable production. The fence stood as an existing border, but raised stone beds and gravel walkways were added to enhance the design and offer ease of use. “We grow cool- and warm-season crops here with hybrid varieties being planted next to staples,” says Stacey Stafford, the designer and caretaker of the garden. In the spring and summer months, he notes that you might find heirloom tomatoes, green beans, and a variety of herbs growing alongside beloved seasonal ornamentals, including New Dawn roses that climb the fence and containers filled with a mix of sun-loving colorful blooms. Near one of the entrances to the garden, the designer cleverly uses strawberries as ground cover providing a beautiful green gateway to the beds that also supplies fresh fruit to the kitchen. 38 At Home in Arkansas | March 2016

The guesthouse and chicken coop sit on opposite sides of the 15-bed garden, which produces a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs depending on the season. Ornamental blooms dot the garden for additional color and beauty.
In the cooler months, Stafford plants lettuce, kale, collards, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and other seasonal varieties in the beds. Following this pattern, many of the plants rotate in and out of the garden; however, a few remain year-round, including horseradish and French sorrel, a bushy green herb that can be added to salads and soups for a citrus flavor. “I try to talk folks into growing more perennial items, like the sorrel and asparagus, in their gardens,” says Stafford, “simply because of the time investment. You don’t have to invest as much in tending these and they will offer you a harvest you can continue to enjoy.” THE CHICKEN COOP Similar to the garden, the chicken coop is attractive and useful. Stafford worked with Ben Shy of Shy Custom Carpentry to construct the coop, which houses about 30 chickens. Eastern cedar logs, which were harvested from the property, create the frame, while the roof was constructed from tin that was reclaimed from a nearby shed that was to be torn down. On the interior, delightful chicken-sized houses line the walls to offer colorful nests for the family’s flock. “We decided to give one side a Wild West theme and the other has more of a traditional birdhouse look,” Stafford says. Several different types of hens inhabit the coop, including Barred Rock, Araucana, and Leghorn varieties; together they produce approximately two dozen eggs per day, meaning there’s plenty to share with nearby neighbors and friends. With numerous spaces to enjoy, it’s easy to see why this property is a relaxing and comfortable place for the owners. Taking its cues from both historical properties and from the native Arkansas land, it’s a rather remarkable addition to the serene, pastoral environment. March 2016 | athomearkansas.com 41

P
enny is excited about life, and her surroundings are important to her,” Mona Thompson of Providence Design says of her client and the owner of this spacious outdoor area, Penny Beebe. In talking with Beebe, it’s easy to see her enthusiasm—and her eagerness to share it with others—especially in regard to her multipurpose outdoor retreat. “I really wanted to expand my living space and have an area for parties. I also needed a new liner in my pool and thought it would be a good time to add the pergola I had always wanted,” Beebe says of her motivation for updating the backyard after spending close to a decade in her Little Rock home.
Beebe also knew she wanted to work with Thompson and her design partner and sister, Talena Ray, once again after they completed several projects for the interior of her home. In addition to her partnership with Providence, Beebe called on several other trusted individuals she had worked with in the past to help achieve her dreams for the space. Here are three ways the team made it happen. CREATE OUTDOOR ROOMS Because the outdoor area is such an intrinsic part of Beebe’s home and her way of life, Ray and Thompson approached the space much as they would the interior of a home. “We looked at it as though we were building outdoor rooms,” Thompson says. “There’s the pool area, March 2016 | athomearkansas.com 45

A wooden pergola frames the outdoor dining room— one of four main spaces nestled within the verdant landscape. The ten-foot concrete table comfortably accommodates ten people, making it ideal for hosting luncheons and dinner parties. Fresh-cut pink tulips and roses sit alongside small, potted plants for an alluring centerpiece, while an iron chandelier floats overhead to add to the Europeaninspired design.

the dining room, the porch, and the sitting area by the fireplace—and although they are all outdoors, there are as many details as you would find in any one of our interior projects,” she adds. One of Beebe’s main desires was to create a “flow” from one space to another; “there were a lot of wonderful pockets in my backyard, but the area really lacked a cohesive way to enjoy them all,” she says. To remedy this, The Good Earth Garden Center laid flagstone walkways and stepping stones to create pathways that lead from one area to another. Greenery and seasonal containers help to fill in gaps and add to the cohesion. ADD A EUROPEAN FLAIR “The outdoor area was more rustic before the renovation,” Thompson says. “We wanted to put a European spin on it.” Several areas in particular reflect this vision. For example, the French-dormerwindow-style mirror that hangs over the fireplace replaced a metal deer head that previously watched over the fire. On the porch, dressy—yet durable, outdoor-grade—fabrics and accessories lend a comfortable European flair. And, perhaps most predominantly, the centrally located dining table, iron chandelier, and pergola—which was built by carpenter
Tom Presley who had worked with Beebe on several projects previously—all echo influence from abroad. “One of my dreams is to go to Italy,” Beebe says. “Now, I feel like I have just created it in my backyard.” MAKE IT ENTERTAINING On the particular occasion shown here, the scene is set for an early spring dinner party. “There’s something magical about dining al fresco and making my guests feel at home in my own backyard,” Beebe notes. Adding to the ambience are blue-and-white ginger jars, which line the center of the ten-foot-long concrete table to create an eye-catching centerpiece that also mirrors the blue hues seen in the pool. Additionally, ruffled linen napkins in a neutral hue convey elegance while still remaining unfussy and casual enough for outdoor use. Overhead, batteryoperated candles illuminate the chandelier and cast an enchanting glow on the dinner table. “I can do so many different things with the pergola to change the look for different events and seasons,” Beebe adds. “I just love that everything here is so comfortable, and I had such a wonderful time collaborating with Providence and everyone else to make it so warm and inviting,” she concludes. Clockwise from top left: Two wicker rocking chairs offer additional seating at the edge of the porch, while Mondo grass, planted between large stepping stones, gives the feel of a naturally formed terrace. The fireplace, which is located at the far side of the garden, is a quiet retreat that Beebe says she enjoys using year-round. During the renovation, a koi pond was removed from a space near the fireplace. To incorporate a new water feature, Beebe asked for a fountain that would provide a soft, tranquil sound. Facing page: Comfortable, oversized chairs that feature custom upholstery, along with pieces such as the starburst mirror, patterned rug, and pair of matching lamps make the covered porch feel like a true extension of the house.

In his Botanica Gardens shop and Plantopia Home and Garden center, Olsen’s line of Jhemajang plants are pre-potted in groupings that grow well together, making it easy to recreate this look at home. The heattolerant planting shown here features scaevola, tropical phoenix palm, and purple secretia.
A NO-TRAVEL-REQUIRED VACATION IS A DREAM FOR MANY PEOPLE. For this North Little Rock family, who live in a contemporary home on the shoreline of one of the lakes inside the Lakewood neighborhood, it became a reality. “My husband has a demanding job, so a vacation home is not necessarily in the cards for us. We wanted a sort of backyard vacation that we could get to easily without driving, and we wanted to be able to use it after work and on Sundays,” the homeowner says. With this thought in mind, exterior designer Chris H. Olsen took to the drawing board to create a resort-worthy space. POINTS OF INTEREST The multiple areas for relaxation and enjoyment are, perhaps, one of the reasons it works so well for the family. For starters, the 40-foot, diamond-shaped pool, which Olsen designed and Grindley Pools installed, has plenty of space for water volleyball games as well as a sundeck where adults can relax. Its infinity edge is complemented with a tilebordered return, which is repeated along the pool’s outline. “The pool is definitely a key feature of the backyard,” Olsen says. “I designed it specifically to fit the site, and I think it shows you don’t have to do a traditional rectangular pool. I really try to design each pool custom to the site and the house,” he adds. A nearby gas-and-volcanic-rock firepit is one place that is a favorite spot for year-round use. “Gas is so functional and easy to use, so they can really enjoy it any time with little effort,” Olsen says of the design feature. “I also added the sitting wall, so everyone can sit back and put their feet up—it just makes it that much more comfortable and convenient,” he adds. A third area, the outdoor kitchen, allows the family to spend the day outside without frequent trips indoors for snacks and drinks. 54 At Home in Arkansas | March 2016

Natural flagstone walkways warm the home’s exterior and provide a unifying element throughout the space.
COLORS OF PARADISE John Gibson of Little Rock’s Urban Pad worked with the homeowners to select outdoor furnishings that would complement the backyard design and the home’s contemporary exterior. Comfortable club chairs surround the firepit and casually chic chaise lounges line the perimeter of the pool. When it came to adding color, Olsen accessorized with vivid plants, many of which are potted in timeless charcoal pots that will remain current for seasons to come. A mix of Southern varieties, all from Olsen’s Jhemajang plant line, fill the containers in hues that are reminiscent of a tropical paradise’s landscape. Conscious of the Arkansas heat, Olsen notes that he tries “to use plants that stay fresh until fall.” RIGHT-AT-HOME RETREAT As noted, one of the things the family loves most about the space is its proximity to home. “I grew up going to the lake on the weekends, and this backyard area was a way for us to have that same sort of getaway but be able to get a lot more use out of it,” the homeowner says. While reflecting on the fun enjoyed in her own childhood, she and her husband also considered what their children would most enjoy in a backyard retreat. “We have three kids, so we really wanted to create a fun space that was a source of entertainment for us and for them,” she notes, “and we all truly love that you can walk outside and be on vacation.”

CREATE YOUR DREAM POOL Arkansas pool professionals share the latest trends from the industry as well as what’s popular with local clients
“With more people now searching the internet for pool ideas, we are seeing a lot of clients who desire vanishing edges, tanning shelves, and fewer diving boards as our main pool trends for these last couple of years. People seem to desire a pool they can stand and hang-out in, rather than deeper ends for jumping and diving.”
PHOTOGRAPHY: RETT PEEK
—Ron Shumate, Pool Sales Manager, Seaside Pools & Spas, Inc.
“There is something brand new out for 2016 called the Airbar; although we have been installing water-features such as deck jets, bubblers in pool tanning ledges, and waterfalls for years, the Airbar is very unique in that it is virtually invisible and is installed at new construction on the floor of the pool. It creates a ‘bubbling volcano’ or ‘river rapids’ effect in the pool. It can be turned on or off, to add excitement to the relatively still water of the normal pool, and it gives a very nice sound to the water. Plus, there’s no doubt the kids will love it!
—Cody Wood, Sales, Tallulah Pools, Inc.
“Automation is a huge trend in pools today. You can control everything on your pool or spa from a free app on your phone. One of the best is called iAquaLink. You can turn on the heater to the spa from your phone and then head home to a nice relaxing body of water that is ready for you to enjoy. It can also control the lights, waterfall, and LED color lighting. This, along with in-floor cleaning systems, make pools virtually maintenance free.”
—Alan Matheny, Owner, Morehead Pools
“The biggest trend we are seeing is pools moving from chlorine to salt water. Salt is an easier way for busy families to keep their pools clean and balanced with less time and effort.”
—Deborah and Jeff Self, Owners, Jeff Self Pools
“Today people are wanting to envision their entire outdoor living environment. In the past someone might call and say they wanted a pool; now, there are so many other options to include: pergolas, outdoor kitchens, firepits, and more. They are essentially moving to this outdoor living space, rather than just sitting by the pool. We try to help them envision this entire area through drawings at the start of a project.”

PLAN & PLANT A GARDEN Local landscape designers offer tips for successful and beautiful garden spaces
“Make your garden ‘pop’ this spring by performing a few pre-season chores. February and March are the perfect times to cut back perennials, ornamental grasses, roses, selective hydrangeas, and crepe myrtle trees. But the one easy and affordable chore you can do to give your landscape a new and fresh start for spring is to remulch your flowerbeds. Hardwood mulch is a great choice since it is readily available in bulk or bags at most local garden centers and tends not to wash away as other decorative barks do. Make sure you apply the mulch/bark about three-inches thick so it will last a year. Your flowerbeds and your neighbors will thank you!”

—Chris H. Olsen, Owner, Botanica Gardens and Plantopia
“It is easy to get caught up in the mesmerizing colors and texture of spring plants...we do too! But don’t forget to properly prepare the soil for planting to ensure success; this includes checking the drainage, loosening the soil, adding organic matter, and mulching after planting. We have the best success when mixing in Good Earth’s Jump Start at planting; it has all kinds of great nutrients and mycorrhizae to get roots established quickly. Also, be aware of how many hours and what time of day the planting area gets sun; that way we can help you find the right plants for your space.”
—Jennifer Gibson, Horticulturist, The Good Earth Garden Center

“When you’re planning a garden, it should be an extension of your home and of your personality. Start with a designer you trust who can help you maximize its potential. Establish an evergreen framework that will offer visual interest even in the middle of winter. Incorporate man-made elements such as planters, statues, gates and pergolas as focal points. And, of course, build outdoor living spaces into your garden plan. Consider these spaces much as you would your interior rooms; take time to make them beautiful and functional, and let your personality shine through!”

“One of the easiest ways to spruce up your outdoor area is by adding trend-setting colors to your furniture scheme with throw pillows and rugs. We are still seeing a lot of bold colors, including Marsala (last year’s Pantone Color of the Year) and citrus hues such as lime green and orange. I think these are popular because people are willing to take a chance with color in their outdoor spaces. On the other end of the spectrum, spalike colors, including Serenity—one of 2016’s Pantone Colors of the Year, are showing up in everything. Colors like this relaxing blue hue remind us of vacation days and spas, and many people have the desire to recreate that look at home.”

Naturally Dyed Eggs
Dyeing eggs for Easter has been a spring pastime for children for decades. This year our staff put a new spin on the tradition by using ingredients from the kitchen—rather than storebought kits—to make colorful, naturally dyed creations. Vibrant staples such as blueberries, cranberry juice, red cabbage, and yellow onion, are just a few of the items we used to create a batch of eggs that—we think you’ll agree—are simply to dye for. >> Learn more about the dyeing process on the At Home in Arkansas blog (athomearkansas.com/blog).
