From the Editor One of my favorite parts of putting together each issue of Weddings in Arkansas is reading through the responses from real brides and grooms as they reflect on their big days. You can feel the love throughout every reminiscence— no matter how seemingly small. In these interviews, many couples share advice for the newly engaged who are about to embark on wedding planning themselves. One piece of guidance (from Bailey + Chevy, page 40) stood out to me: “Always make decisions as a couple.” What simple, wonderful advice not only for those about to tie the knot, but for those already married—whether it’s been five years or five decades. Your spouse is your teammate; you don’t have to agree on everything (picking a restaurant or movie is famously difficult for some), but when it really matters, that person is in your corner through every step of life. If you’re starting to plan your own wedding, there’s the possibility of feeling overwhelmed by how many decisions you’ll need to make before you marry. Good news: You’re not alone! Remember to lean on your significant other throughout the process. Consider it practice for your marriage and the years to come. Congratulations and best wishes!
