HERITAGE
1980’s As part of the new telecommunications world, Steve Acott & his wife Debra-Ann managed their own monitoring station, then acquired Guardwell Security Services which later became Guardwell Communications.

1991 Guardwell released Guardcell, with technology way ahead of its time.
1999 The demand for solutions for the GSM network led to the transition of Guardwell to SCSI and the development of DirectWireless, which, along with the SCSI Association and it’s hugely popular Rebates system, secured SCSI as the leader in alarm communications.

2010 2009 VALE Steve Acott dies, leaving SCSI in the capable hands of his family and staff to continue innovation as the digital world changes continually.
2017 DTU4G launched for developing market, and continually updated to meet changing digital needs.
2020 DEVELOPING MARKETS Launch of WatchArmour. Rebates on DirectWireless. 3G Shutdown changeover program introduced. Collaboration with Milesight routers and DirectConnect.
2020 2011 onwards A change in government redirected the use of FTTP, satellite and wireless technology in NBN to FTTN and coaxial lines. Bringing forward a new shared world of telecommunications between the giants Telstra and Optus. 4G and LTE introduced.
In the decade of massive changes in telecommunications (from 3G in 2003 to 4G in 2011) SCSI continually adapted products and services to provide leading and engineered solutions. As 3G plans to close in 2024, SCSI has already implemented changeover plans and procedures to help the market be ready for 4G.
Looking forward SCSI is continually monitoring and adapting and already has plans afoot for dynamic M2M, IoT and 5G solutions. One thing we do know is that SCSI will be at the forefront.
