The lens series has been developed to show a more cohesive aesthetic standpoint. A collaboration with a local embroiderer has added couture embellishment to the motif.

Publication Strategies: normalizing the digital garment through standard magazine layouts #fashionasproduct

Fashion Show Strategy 1:

Hijack

A range of scenarios of models trying on clothes, sitting on their phones, walking around in other designers’ outfits, while the digital garments “hijack” their bodies and other designers’ collections, making surreal silhouettes. The contrast between the unsuspecting model, unsuspecting passerbys and what the viewer sees will be the point of interest.

A model walks up to a reflected surface/mirror to see how they look in their outfit.

Fashion Show Strategy 2:

Express Yourself

With dramatic movement and dance, digital garments will show their weightlessness and dynamic range of silhouettes. A diverse range of people will show the versatility of digital garments and how they can enhance individual character and vibrancy. A few sample videos will be shown to models (eg. an older model, a male and a female) as guides.
