XPLICIT NEWSLETTER STUDENTS TAKING PART IN MOBILITY IN KJELLERUP DANMARK OKTOBER 2015
LOOKING BACK AT THE FIRST YEAR A year ago we had our first meeting at London Nautical school. It was very exciting to start up a project with such a devoted group of teachers and a pleasure to work with students from four different schools. During the first year we spent time to set-up the groups, to learn about net-ethics and to use different ICT tools. Each also school sent teachers to an extra project meeting in February in Copenhagen to plan in detail our work. Last semester we focused on the European dimension. Our students learnt a lot about the project countries. The different school systems were compared and the international peer groups shared podcasts.
AFTER ONE YEAR THE STUDENTS ARE THINKING, WORKING, SHARING AND ARE HAVING A GOOD TIME.

The first mobility with students took place in Rauma, Finland in April. During this first mobility students learnt more about Rauma, and Finnish traditions, such as bobbylace making, typical Finnish food such as Karelian Pir and Sauna. The topic for this mobility was net safety. Our students learnt to make movies of professional quality starting from an idea till production. Their movie ”Hi I´m Lucy” was shown at Rauma filmfestival. The next big topic we worked on was to promote our project. We made a brochure together in the international peer groups, in addition the national peer groups made a commercial movie. We handed in out first year report in the middle of summer, we got back useful suggestions for improvement but also the overall feedback that the project was excellent. It was good to get confirmed that we are on the right track!

work with entrepreneurial learning and exercises in the lessons, so we were very exited to learn more during the visit. During this mobility the students worked with ideas of improving ”Museum Jorn” in close connection with staff from the museum itself. It was delightful to follow the process and see our students work so well together. Everyone did a marvellous job and we were so proud of them. After Denmark I feel that the group of students has learnt a lot, developed new skills and had many new experiences.

The topic for this coming autumn is creative subjects. We will produce a photobook from the different countries using ”Opposites” from their surrounding area. The students will learn how to use pictures in their school work and how to talk about art. We will also focus on peer assessment as a tool for improving students work and on taking responsibility for ones own learning.

The project will also produce a ”how to video” to introduce our thoughts on ”Peer learning” and some ideas on how to get started. In spring our topic is language learning. Our students will read text from the different countries in the project. They will also produce a language class in their native language. From April 24th to 29th 2016 we will have the last mobility, to be held in Sweden. During this mobility we will have a lot of closing activities as well as evaluations.
Ideas for future collaboration As we really believe that our work is important we raised the idea during the last mobility of continuimg our work in the future. A project idea, which we will take off where Xplicit left off, has been written for EU funding. We have been in contact with a few more schools about forming a new larger consortium. While a lot of questions still need to be answered we hopefully can find a way to continue our work.
