Connection...

This type of connection has nothing to do with WiFi. Here we shift from a mindset in which people constantly feel the need to be on the go, moving quickly from one thing to the next. Broken down into three groups, Connection focuses on Simplicity, Reverence, and Community. Simplicity is found through oneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s connection both with self and with home. Designing a home that meets all your needs allows you to enjoy a more simple lifestyle and gives you time to focus on the relationship you have with yourself... you find joy in the ability to be at peace with yourself, by yourself. Reverence focuses on connecting with the world around you, specifically nature. It prioritizes respecting and caring for nature by taking time to be outdoors, making sustainable and ethical lifestyle choices, and doing your part to keep this beautiful planet clean. Community embraces the human desire to connect with others. Disconnecting is not synonymous with turning off your phone because connection happens off your phone to begin with. Community brings back the importance of neighborhoods and engaging with the people and places surrounding you.

Simplicity

Simplicity is a tool for drowning out the noise. For this customer, home is a sanctuary and a grounding force. She has designed and curated her home into a place that offers everything. She can work from home in her cozy office, take time for a relaxing yoga session in her toned down home gym, or curl up on the sofa with a book and a glass of wine. She appreciates her time at home rather than constantly feeling the need to be out with the crowds. Her simplicity is much more than just trendy minimalism, it is the ability to step back, cut out the noise and connect with herself. She chooses quality over quantity in friends. She likes comfortable and cozy clothing, but she has ditched athleisure for a more elevated style. She sticks with what works for her from skincare to style. She is not constantly searching for what is new, as she is happy with her staple belongings. She is an old soul... a complicated mix between classic and modern, calculated and carefree. She craves a simplistic lifestyle, but she is far from simple.

Reverence

Reverence revolves around respecting nature. This customer is drawn to natural elements throughout all aspects of their lifestyle. They spend their free time cleaning up the beach then relaxing with their friends in the sun. They fill their home with plants, crystals and treasures found at the flea market. They commit themselves to sustainable clothing, donating what they no longer need and shopping vintage. They avoid fast fashion and refuse to support that industry. They choose organic ingredients and follow a vegan lifestyle. They purchase makeup and skincare from clean beauty brands. They begin their mornings early with meditation and coffee. They take walks in their neighborhood park with their dog everyday. No matter where they are shopping they bring their own bags. They carry reusable coffee cups and water bottles. They connect with the world around them by caring for nature and appreciating everything and every person around them. They are strong and compassionate and stick fiercely to their morals.

Community

Community means finding your place. The Community customer is increasingly aware of both the isolation and the connection that comes through technology. They push for speakers that include a group over AirPods that block others out. They limit social media, not because they want to disconnect, but because they want in-person connection. They want their home to be open, both in floor plan and to others. They keep their front door open because their neighbors are trusted and welcome. They want their meals to be shared around a big table with friends and family. No more eating alone with phones and televisions prioritized more than real conversation. They follow influencers who are smaller, more niche people with steady authenticity. They spend their free time in their neighborhood interacting with those around them. They are easygoing but not carefree. They are aware of the darkness in the world, and it causes them to cling harder to the idea of having a borders-down lifestyle and loving everyone around them.
