Our Rose Hill Residents are the very best of people. Recently, this was shown to me personally when I became hospitalized for surgery. Our block Pipers Pond became not neighborly, but an extended family. This then spread to other areas of Rose Hill, like Deer Run, White Oaks, Canebrake, Fair Hope and Mirabell Court. This extended family made meals for Herman, thanks to Mary Lou and Richard, Sandy and Peter, Others drove him to see me, thanks to Kathy, Dale, Marianne, Bill, Theresa, Julie. Some others offered services whenever I needed anything, Glenda, Regina, Bob, So, in keeping with the season many thank you’s are going forth from me to the extended family. Just a final note, since I needed to wait a period of time prior to surgery, I thought of a positive way to keep from going anxious. Each day, I thought of one person and dedicated that thinking to all positive attributes , then I said a rosary for her/him. This made waiting a positive journey, not filled with anxiety. So, I ask myself Why do I love Rose Hill? It is because of the people. We are transients from other states and in living here we have made our circle of friends wider as new people arrive.
