CAMPUS RESOURCES Meet Joey. Joey is very creative, loves the Drama Club, and can't get enough of The Big Bang Theory. And his hair looks great. But Joey never had to study in high school. Despite the fact that he spent hours reviewing his notes before exams, he still received low grades. Joey visited Student Academic Success and learned more effective study strategies, as well as how to find a balance between academic and social pursuits.

[LOGAN LIBRARY, L227]

Meet Rachel. Rachel loves fashion, Facebook, Instagram and keeping tabs on all things pop culture. But Rachel did not take Calculus in high school and found it hard to keep up with this material. Rachel visited the Learning Center and talked with a peer tutor who walked her through the process of solving the problems. She even picked up a practice exam to check her knowledge before the next exam.

[LOGAN LIBRARY, BASEMENT]

Meet Ross. Ross is great at mathing, sciencing, programming, and turning other nouns into verbs. But Ross has a hard time maintaining focus. He was granted extra test time in high school which helped him be successful. Ross visited Student Accessibility Services to arrange for similar accommodations, like extended test time and a quiet testing room in the Academic Testing Center. [MUSSALLEM UNION, ROOM 153]

PAGE 7

Meet Monica. Monica enjoys fine Mexican cuisine, like Chavas and Taco Bell, and has been competitive all her life. She would rather hotwire a Roomba to win bot fights than take care of herself. But Monica was not invincible and picked up the cold going around campus. Monica visited Health Services as soon as it started in order to get medicine to relieve her symptoms, allowing her to stay competitive by not missing class. [MUSSALLEM UNION, ROOM 135]

Meet Chandler. Chandler is funny, loves to make people laugh, and uses comedy as a coping mechanism. He's always been able to handle the stress of life. But Chandler is experiencing more stress than ever, and starting to feel depressed. Chandler visited the Student Counseling Center to talk to a counselor. Not only did he learn additional stress management techniques, but he also learned that many students have similar experiences at Rose. [MUSSALLEM UNION, ROOM 251]

Meet Phoebe. Phoebe is a no filter, free-spirited, outgoing young woman who loves to sing and play the guitar, even if she's a bit off key. But when Phoebe practices her music in Deming, her roommate often glares at her and storms out. Phoebe talked with her RA about this situation, and then visited the Office of Student Affairs with her roommate where they learned conflict management skills and established rules for sharing space.
