IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER... She dreamed of a romantic wedding with dozens of pale yellow & ivory cream flowers, a champagne-colored wedding dress, live guitar music, covenant vows spoken under an adorned arch draped with ivory organza, flowers and green ivy, and a formal sit down dinner for close family and friends... When my good friend, Zoraida, shared with me that she was engaged, I was so excited that she had found love again. And because floral design work and event planning are two of my favorite things to do, I was honored to help her plan her special day. And so the countless choices began! Ocotillo Golf Resort was the perfect venue for the couple. It offered everything on their wish list. From there we planned all of the details to personalize her wedding. A favorite vintage frame of mine from an antique shop was backed with chalkboard and I had wrote the couple’s welcome sign to greet the guests. The guest seating chart was a framed board that I added inked luggage tags with the guests’ names and table numbers.

I made a gold-framed sign for the wedding couples’ invitation to enjoy their wedding punch. Instead of a gift table, the couple opted for cards only so I embellished an iron birdcage for guests to drop a card with a note to the couple. All of these items were adorned with sprigs of roses, ribbon and greenery. The tables had centerpieces that included antique green & white hydrangeas, large pale roses, green ivy and tree fern. The arch was the focal point of the room for sure. Soft flowing organza draped the iron arch and flowers & greenery added the whimsical, romantic look. The sweetheart table was draped with pale yellow organza and adorned with a lush centerpiece and smaller bouquets to add drama to the table. The cake also was embellished with trailing flowers and I added a special chalkboard sign that read...IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!! And lastly, the bride’s bouquet was gorgeous with dinner-plate sized cream dahlias, mini green hydrangeas and pale yellow and cream roses. She was radiant with joy as she could hardly believe her dream had come true for a romantic wedding. That is why I do what I do!!
