VITAMIN A – anti-wrinkle Booster SUPER 3 BOOSTER from Danish Skincare Brand: The creme includes two different forms of Vitamin A each having its own way of rejuvenating the skin’s collagen and elastin fiber structure. The synthesis of collagen and elastin fibers are boosted to reinforce the skin’s elastic properties, and this also makes the skin less transparent. It repairs the damage caused by the sun and clearly reduces wrinkles and stretch marks. The creme is also effective for the treatment of thin skin for example on the back of the hands and on dry and brittle nails. It provides the skin with two forms of Vitamin A to rebuild the collagen fibers structure, and help the skin become reinforced and rejuvenated. Use preferably as a night creme and apply very sparingly onto cleansed skin on the face and neck. It is instantly absorbed into the skin if applied in the correct amount. Apply every second day during the first week to allow the skin to adapt to the Vitamin A’s and to avoid erythema or redness.

LINIE AQUAVIT – The true Spirits of Norway When you ask for the leading brand of Norwegian spirit – or “Aquavit” as we call it in the Nordics, LINIE pops up as the first brand. LINIE is a potato-based spirit, distilled in pot stills with a special blend of Nordic herbs and spices to give it its distinct flavour. The young spirit is placed in Spanish Oloroso Sherry Casks to develop further. Ultimately, the casks are sent on a sea journey across the world to mature (see journey below). The result is an extraordinarily smooth and well balanced “Aquavit” that surprises positively from the first time.

Get along with the friendly “Vikings” The “Very, Very Short Quick Guide” on how to get along with the friendly Nordics. Most of the Nordic population are world travelers. Appreciation for diversity and exotic cultures are in their DNA, even though the Nordics are a very homogeneous group. Historically the common perception is that the Nordics were pure bloodthirsty aggressors leaving a path of fear and death. The reality is often different. There are many indicators that the Nordic people were both very efficient and reliable international merchants, but also people lead by honour to their Superiors…at least most of the time. Trust, Respect and Courtesy to other people are an important element of the Nordic culture, regardless of nationality, skin colour, religious beliefs and sexual orientation. You find it very easy to get along with the Nordics as long as the trust and respect between people are kept intact both ways. While the Nordics can appear very direct in their personal approach and slightly reserved, this is normally only on the “surface” as they are in general both happy, very informal, easy to get along with and often leave a positive impression often by using humour. As a saying goes: “A smile or laugh is the shortest distance between two people”.

What to do: o

The Nordics are quite uncomplicated and an easy-going group of people. Even though the Nordics might not be the first to smile towards strangers, smiling and polite respect towards them is very well received and appreciated and will often remove the “outer shell” of the Nordic person in front of you. Besides the smile, the Nordics also appreciate to have eye contact when you open a conversation. This is linked to the element of trust, as your eyes express the honesty, which is very important to the Nordics

What NOT to do: o

There are in particular two things that can be very annoying to the Nordics in general: o

Jumping the queue at the buffet, at the Postal office, at the bus stop or in the bank. Well in fact everywhere where there is a queue. If you for some reason need to jump the queue, you need to be apologetic and clearly show that you are aware that you are jumping the queue.

The North is not a very populated region and everyone are used to a lot of personal space. For the very same reason, they have what is called their “intimate sphere”…. which in reality means that you cannot get to close physical to a Nordic person, unless you know them very well. For the same reason, the Nordics don’t like to be crammed in a lift or train and they might even prefer to wait for the next lift or train to avoid being squeezed together with strangers. So be aware how close you get to a Nordic person, also while standing in a queue, you might cross their “intimate sphere” which can be everything from 50100 cm.
