We encourage you to do one page every day. To help you memorize the week’s Bible verse, practice saying it out loud each day. At the end of the week, say the verse without any mistakes. You can do it! Each day you’ll have a special time with God. Take time to talk to Him through prayer as you go through this book. Start today and learn why you gotta have God!

Week 1 – Day 1
God’s Awesome Word Every word of God is flawless.
– Proverbs 30:5
The Bible Is True A lie is when someone says something that isn’t true. Books that are called fiction tell interesting, just-for-fun stories that aren’t true. They may tell part of the truth, but they don’t tell all the truth. Nonfiction books tell the facts. There is one book that always tells us the truth. This book is the best book of all. It’s called the Bible. The word “Bible” means “the Book.” The Bible is God’s special letter written for all people—including you. God used people to write down His words for us to read. The Bible tells us about God and everything He made. From reading the Bible, we know that God made land, sky, stars, sun, moon, water, plants, animals, and people. The Bible also tells us about God’s power and how much He loves people. God tells us in His Word—the Bible— that He made each one of us. Everything in the Bible is true because it comes from God!
Your Turn 1. Can you name some things the Bible says God made? 2. When will you read your Bible each day? __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________
Prayer Thank You, God, for the Bible—Your message to me. Help me remember to read the Bible every day. Amen. 9
Week 1 – Day 2
God’s Awesome Word
Every word of God is flawless. – Proverbs 30:5
Something Is Wrong Some things aren’t true, but the Bible always is. It’s always good to read. Other books might not be. Look at the books. Circle the one that will help you live the best way. Cross out the books that might be bad for you. Draw a square around those you might want to read but should ask your parents first.
Prayer Dear God, thank You for the Bible. I know that all the information in the Bible is true and from You. Help me read books that are pleasing to You. Amen 10
Week 1 – Day 3
God’s Awesome Word
Every word of God is flawless. – Proverbs 30:5
The Bible Is True Can you use the code to solve the puzzle and find an important fact about Jesus?
Prayer Dear God, help me read my Bible each day so I will know what You are like. Amen. 11
Week 1 – Day 4
God’s Awesome Word Every word of God is flawless.
– Proverbs 30:5
God wants to Talk to You Mom whispered in Josh’s ear, “You’re a great kid.” Josh whispered back in her ear, “You’re a great mom.” Have you realized that someone in your family talks to you every day? Grandparents and friends talk to you on the phone or by texting. Maybe you talk to the mail person or the crossing guard at school. God wants to talk to you each day. His Word, the Bible, is one way He shares His wisdom. God gave the Bible so you can know how much He cares for His creation. He wants you to read the Bible so He can tell you about everything He does. He wants you to find out how much He loves you. God wants to talk to you. He wants to help you get the most out of life. The Word of God was written many years ago, but what it says is still true and great for you to know. There’s a great truth in the Bible that is really exciting. God sent his Son, Jesus, to tell people about Him. Jesus was like a walking book. He told people about God.
Your Turn 1. God talks to you when you read the Bible. How do you talk to Him? 2. The Word of God is active. What do you think that means? __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________
Prayer God, I want to know You and hear from You. I believe Your Word— everything in the Bible—is true. I will listen to You. Thank You for sending Jesus to help me. Amen. 12
Week 1 – Day 5
God’s Awesome Word
Every word of God is flawless. – Proverbs 30:5
The Peanut Butter Jar Have you had a peanut butter sandwich? The peanut butter sticks to the roof of your mouth, doesn’t it? Look at the jar of peanut butter. Fill it with words from the Bible that stick in your mind. You can write your favorite Bible verses in the jar too.
Prayer Dear God, I pray that Your truths in the Bible will stick in my heart. I want to know You more. Amen. 13
Week 1 – Day 6
God’s Awesome Word
Every word of God is flawless. – Proverbs 30:5
Texting God The Bible is like a letter God has written to you. Pretend you are texting God. Tell Him about you and how much you want to know Him better.
Prayer Dear God, I want to talk to You. I know that when I talk to You, You hear me. Thank You for listening. Amen. 14
Week 1 – Day 7
God’s Awesome Word
Every word of God is flawless. – Proverbs 30:5
My Promise to God Promise God that you will do your best to read your Bible and pray every day. Fill in the blanks of this note to God. Copy it and put it where you will see it every day.
Dear God, I will do my best to read my _________________ and ________________________ every day. I love You! ________________________ (your name)
Prayer God, I know that if I read my Bible and pray to You, I will know You better and be happier. Help me remember to do these things every day. Amen. 15
Week 2 – Day 1
God Created the Heavens and Earth
It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. – Isaiah 45:12
God’s Awesome Creation Saw, hammer, tape measure…what tools go into a tool belt? You can build things with a hammer, saw, nails, and wood. Imagine creating a tree house without using any tools or material! What tools did God use to create the world? He didn’t use any! God only needed to use His powerful voice. He spoke the words and the heavens and earth appeared in space. Some of the first words in the Bible are “God created the heavens and the earth.” These words tell us God is a creator. His tool belt is full of power to create what He wants.
Your Turn 1. Why do you think God created the earth? 2. What can you make with the tools you have? __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________
Prayer Thank You, God, for creating the world. Thank You for loving me enough to provide a place for me to live. Amen. 16
Week 2 – Day 2
God Created the Heavens and Earth It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it.
– Isaiah 45:12
Tree House Creation God made plants for you to enjoy. Draw your own tree house in the tree.
Prayer Thank You, God, for the many wonderful plants and animals You created. Amen. 17
Week 2 – Day 3
God Created the Heavens and Earth It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it.
– Isaiah 45:12
A Flashlight at Night God made the moon and the stars. They help us to see at night. Doesn’t it look like God is shining a flashlight on the Earth? Can you draw stars and a moon below the flashlight?
Prayer God, I see Your work in the day and night sky. Thank You for being my powerful and creative God. Amen. 18
Week 2 – Day 4
God Created the Heavens and Earth
It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. – Isaiah 45:12
Things that Grow Are you a tree climber? Have you ever played a spy game in the bushes? Without a tree, there would be nothing to climb. Without bushes, there would be no place to hide. Did you know God created all the trees and all the bushes? He spoke and the trees appeared. God spoke again and the bushes appeared. He spoke again and flowers and grass grew. God wants you to enjoy climbing trees and playing spy games. He wants you to eat fruit and vegetables. God created everything, and He can create anything at any time. He created the plants and animals for you to enjoy. You can read about how God made plants in Genesis 1:11-13 in your Bible.
Your Turn 1. Can you name some plants and animals God created? How many can you name in one minute? 2. What kinds of fruit and vegetables do you like to eat? __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________
Prayer God, I enjoy playing outside where I can see the plants and animals You created. Thank You for all Your creation. Amen. 19
Week 2 – Day 5
God Created the Heavens and Earth It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it.
– Isaiah 45:12
God Created Everything If God can make the earth, what else can He do? Write on the tool belt some of the things God can do.
Prayer Dear God, You can do everything! I am so glad You are always here with me. Amen. 20
