Building Community Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park will soon have an expansive new aquatic play area, featuring a Vortex splashpad along with the new, innovative Water Journeys modular stream system. While there are many attractions for park visitors, the new ‘Water Oasis’ will provide a whole new level of interactive play and learning opportunities. We look forward to the opening of these new aquatic features for Gilroy Gardens in July.
Driven By Design Achieving a successful, and complete, sense of space and design is the driving force, and enjoyment, of our commitment to building community. Throughout the stages of taking an initial concept to final design, the ability to bring forth creative, driven designs that embrace the highest level of quality, innovation, safety, accessibility and sustainability is our goal. Focused design can impact how communities engage with a space, and with one another. By creating a sense of uniqueness, one can transform the identity of a play area, outdoor environment and the surrounding community. That is the power of design.

Our approach to design here at GreenWorks includes being sensitive to the environment and mindful of the communities desires while developing durable, modern, and sustainable parks. Our designs strive to be universally accessible for all ages and abilities, functional to meet the needs of the community, and durable for ease of long term maintenance. Our inspiration for design is derived from our native Pacific Northwest landscape and site-specific topography, vegetation, habitat, geology, and local culture. Our approach is to use our understanding of safety, construction detailing, long term maintenance, and play value to create a play environment that accentuates the sites positive attributes, unique for children of all ages and is enjoyable for adults to observe.
