Mauricet
always knew that he’d become a comic book artist. He had the chance to learn the basics of the craft with eddy paape. at twenty, he started working for Spirou magazine, drawing hundreds of cartoons and co-creating the series Les rastafioles and cosmic patrouille, a superhero parody, among other numerous things. a fan of american comics, he fulfilled his dream of working for them when he was asked to draw a set of batman illustrations and some superman pages for dc. He also drew a tellos tale for Image and the crossovers for crossgen comics. for casterman he co-created the series mort de trouille (6 volumes) He penciled mademoiselle louise (1 volume) for éditions dupuis. He drew seven volumes of basket dunk and wrote, drew and coloured two of cosmic patrouille for bamboo édition. he’s now almost solely working for bamboo éditions, writing drawing and colouring une bien belle nuance de rouge, his pet project (2 volumes). he’s also inking les profs (ongoing) and a volume of la lignée, a new series for bamboo. he hopes you will enjoy this selection of rarely seen personal drawings done between 2010 and 2011 and collected in this third issue of icon-o-clash.
