A place of natural beauty, sun, sea, surf, fun, thrills, love, and home to the Mighty King Shaka, sugar barons, amazing landscapes and warm friendly people. The North Coast stretches some 110 kilometers from Umhlanga Rocks, just north of the port city of Durban, right up to the Amatikulu River, in a breathtaking stretch of coastline with golden beaches and green hills.
The North Coast has experienced a spate of developments in the retail and entertainment nodes such as KwaDukuza Mall in KwaDukuza, Mount Richmore Shopping Centre in Salt Rock, Ballito Junction, The Market within the Ballito Lifestyle Centre and Zimbali Wedge.
Travellers are spoiled for choice with a wide range of beautiful
destinations, ranging from luxury hotels to self-catering accommodation. Ballito’s friendly village atmosphere serves as the perfect seashore retreat from the busy city-life with beautiful beaches, scenic landscapes, trendy eateries, a retail extravaganza and a variety of accommodation preferences.
The warm waters and year-long sunny skies make it the ideal location for a holiday along the seashore. The bustling beaches can keep you entertained for days with exciting water sports and activities, while the more secluded beaches allow for lazing in the shallows and tanning on the soft sands.
Some of the beaches along the
North Coast include Clarke Bay, Willard Beach, Thompson’s Bay, Salt Rock Beach, Tinley Manor Beach, Blythedale Beach, Zinkwazi Beach, Tugela Beach and Dokodweni.
