Always on the lookout for new health trends, Director of Spa Services Shanelle Lucas, was excited to discover a new therapeutic all organic seaweed-based treatment line in Voya Skincare. The line was inspired by the 300-year-old tradition of spa baths, an old-world indigenous therapy treatment in Ireland. “Seaweed naturally absorbs its nourishment from the sea. As a result, it contains countless minerals, vitamins and beneficial ingredients in high concentrations,” Lucas explains. “And the fact that Voya products contain extracts of wild seaweed, which is sustainably hand-harvested, is a big plus.”

Being a beachfront spa, adding a seaweed-infused skincare treatment just made sense.

You can experience the all organic Voya line in nearly every Serenity spa service, from an add-on enhancement to a nail treatment to an 80-minute Seaweed Leaf Wrap. This therapeutic ritual involves exfoliation, massage and a scalp treatment; it softens the skin from head to toe by using organic seaweed leaves to scrub and wrap your body.

As phenomenal as it is, Voya Skincare is not the only reason why this 14,500-square-foot, sea-inspired facility lives up to its name. With its attentive wellness team led by Lucas, it delivers award-winning spa treatments, salon services and houses a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Self-care is important for men, too. According to Lucas, they are “going wild” for beard treatment and skincare line, Organic Male. Gentlemen can sample it at the four-step Grooming Bar in the men’s lounge.

By making appointments in advance and spreading them out all week, Lucas explains that spa goers can take full advantage of using all of Serenity’s amenities — private lounge, whirlpool spa, steam room, sauna and fitness center.

“More than ever, people want to get away to relax and renew themselves,” she says. “They need some ‘me time’ for their mental health.”
